First time eating here. We were excited at the prospect of possibly finding a new restaurant in Dhaka serving genuinely good food. Sadly disappointed with the reality. Decor is pleasant enough, but the space is echoey and noisy. The first starter, beef carpaccio, was pleasant and the complimentary onion bread was delicious. So far so good. 2nd starter was supposed to be 3 types of smoked fish (sardine, cod, salmon) on toast, but we were informed that only salmon was available. We ordered anyway. Unexceptional but fine. For main course we ordered a seafood paella, and mussels. Both favourite dishes that we have eaten many times in many restaurants in many countries, including Spain. Both were the worst examples that either of us have eaten anywhere. The Dhaka restaurant Oro (supposedly with the same owner as this one) does a MUCH better paella with a lot more ingredients for the same price. This one was a very thin layer of extremely undercooked rice in a paella pan with a few overcooked mussels and shrimp dropped on top. The other mussel dish came in a very salty tomato broth and they were overcooked, tiny and shrunken. We complained about this to Bangladeshi manager and staff who were apologetic and agreed that the paella was undercooked and took it off the bill and gave us a free piece cheese cake (good service in their part, no complaints about them). At this point we were willing to give the place another try in future and order something different the next time. On the way out of the restaurant we saw someone who appeared to be a Spanish consultant employed by the owner to oversee the restaurant and told him how disappointing the paella was. He arrogantly told us that this was the way it should be made and that all the other customers liked it. Final straw. We won’t be back again. Such a shame; another expensive Dhaka restaurant that isn’t up...

We went to this resultant on 3 separate account’s. The first time I visited I thought that it gives Spanish riviera, I love the ambience. It’s luxury, open and has a nature flair too. Perfect for a date night.
Loved the filet mignon it was cooked to perfection - medium. I also loved the sauces, a lot of butter is used in the foods and it’s very rich. I didn’t picture all of what I ate but almost everything is so so delicious. Really good portions, fresh, indulgent and flavourful foods.
We also had this buttery chicken toast (forgotten the name of the dish) but it was so delicious.
We were greeted with complimentary cheese and olives. I think it was manchego? Please could the staff/owner confirm as that cheese was delicious.
I wish they had a better drinks menu, maybe some unique mocktails and sugar free soda options please.
Not a huge fan of the dessert but in Bangladesh the cream is not the same it’s mixed with carrageenan given the weather and the stability due to high temperature it just isn’t the same as European countries.
Maybe ice cream and cake dishes such as salted caramel and hazelnut with chocolate fondant, or mango sticky rice with vanilla bean ice cream. These would be a lovely addition to the menu.
Overall thanks to the chefs and the owner for creating a such a beautiful restaurant in Bangladesh.
Also please could we have the smaller cutlery for starters. They...
Read moreThis is an amazing restaurant with beautiful decor, delicious food and good service. The staff may sometimes (they normally don't) mix up orders, but they apologise and admit their mistake. Otherwise service is great! I've seen reviews saying that it's not worth the price due to items not being in stock. Well whenever I go there almost (if not everything) everything is in stock. Maybe those reviews are older. One person said they don't have Wi-Fi. THEY DO!! At least now they do.This restaurant is still in development, let it improve. I definitely recommend going there. Also try their Cuttlefish appetizer, it's tender, succulent and simply delicious. Their black rice is something you should try too, it's delicious. It's made with squid ink and rice, may sound unappetizing but trust me, it's...
