Nothing is needed to say about Star!! It has its own brand name and fame. U may eat at different branches of Star in Dhaka city and your experience may up & down with respect to the branches. Among of all the branches I recommend their primary branch in Old Dhaka and the Banani branch. Rice items, meat items, kebab items, fish what not you can taste here!! Different flavours, tastes, presentations you can have from Star. +++ If you would like to have rice items go for Kacchi biriyani. Plain polao also be taken with chicken jhal fry or chicken mosallam but it may be a bit oily. Leg roast is an another item to try but it may be a bit sweet in taste. +++ Kabab segment you can have sheak kebab, reshmi kebab, gurda kebab, mutton kebab, brain masala every items are mouthwatering!! Parata and naan are the options you can have with kebabs. +++ You can have drinks like lacchi and fruit juices also over here. Star is popular for their Tea too. Don't forget to taste it - - - Everything is good except their billing system. They take vat in an inequivalent aspects. Otherwise price is reasonable compared to the food.

Star is an institution, bot just another restaurant. And an institute I admire quite a lot. It’s not only the food, I like their business philosophy as well. Being one of the most popular place for deshi food in Dhaka, they could charge a premium. But they don’t. Their price point is even lower than the very average nondescript restaurants. I’ve been going to Star for 2 decades now. And I don’t hesitate to take my “foreign guests” there and they love the authenticity of the place. I’m quite sure food taste has been on the wane, but the quality that they still offer is better than most places. I love their faluda the most. To me it’s the best in the city. And a Gujrati friend of mine complemented it to be one of the very best he ever had! They know one or two things about Faluda surely! I’d love it if I can take my grandkids to Star one day and tell them about my university days when Star was the best that we could afford and we had so much fun there! Long live Star!

The restaurant combines the whole building. It is three storied & every storey serves different kinds of meals. In the ground floor you find tea, coffee, ruti, paratha stuffs. In the first floor they have rice sections like biriyani, kacchi, vaat & other items. There is also separate sections for women. In the 2nd floor, they have kabab section on the left & biriyani section on the right. In spite of being separate sections, it seems trouble to sit for your desired food for this section system. There is no chart from where you can find your desired section. The food was not so up to the mark. It can be called average. They have not sufficient waiters according to their number of tables. Thus it will take to get your food after you have ordered. The price also is high compared to other kabab restaurant. As the restaurant situated in Banani, the prices of every things will automatically rise. If you are not extremely hungry I prefer you to ignore this restaurant.

Went To Banani Branch Today, For Take Out, It Used To Be 1 Of My Favorite Place For Kebab 🍢, Since It Was Opened At Dhanmondi, When We Were In School, But So Sorry 😞 To Say Their Food Quality Dropped, Not Like Before It Used To Be, Not Hygenic & Clean Atmosphere, Sevice Is Like, I Have To Wait 10 To 15min To Catch The Attention Of The Waiter To Take My Order, Its Very Smelly & Dirty Downstairs ( Ground Flr ), The Stairs They Use To Go Upstairs Is Like Going Through Dirty Store Room. I Think They Should Urgently Take Care Of This Matter If They Want To Keep Good Reputation. And The Entrance, To This Restaurant, By The Stairs From The Road, You'll Clearly The Smell Of Swearage. Food Quality Notice Before. Even 2yrs Ago I Last Went, It Wasn't Like This. PLS DO TAKE CARE OF IT. 🙏. I Think You're Only Running On Old Star Kebab Reputation.

Star kabab and restaurant chain is one of the most famous chain restaurants of Dhaka. This is their banani branch. This three storied restaurant has a ground floor kabab house and restaurant. The 1st and 2nd floor are only restaurant. Both the kabab house and and the restaurant have versatile menu. I like their sheek kabab most of their kabab items. Although people mainly go to the restaurant for mutton biriani and kacchi biriani. I also like their items with plain rice. From their dessert items I like the faluda most. They provide quality food with reasonable price. I like that they provide kababs all day long. The restaurants are clean. The washrooms are clean. But small for the crowds they have. Aside some few lackings you would definitely want to go back again and again to taste their food.

This is one of the oldest family restaurant in Dhaka. A home to Bengali culinary styles and also flavorsome kababs. This place divides into two sections, a restaurant section and a kabab section. Mutton leg roast is my most favorite from the restaurant section. The tender leg meat served with sweet and spicy gravy is just mouth watering. Among the others my favorites are Alu Khashi (Mutton and Potato with gravy), Basmati Kacchi, Chicken masallam etc. If I recommend you from the Kabab Section, I would say have the Chicken Tawa Jhal Fry. Star Kabab is famous for this dish. And the taste has been exactly the same for the last decade. The other kababs from their menu are amazing too.
