Confetti's Kosher Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Antwerp

We arrived at 19:35 with an existing reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes until we received the menu. After receiving the menu, we waited another 20 minutes until the waiter came to take our order. This despite asking several times for someone to come. He did not know how to answer any questions about the menu.

Along with our order we asked for a bottle of water (7€) which we received only after a 15 minute wait and asking for it twice! The food arrived about 5 minutes after that. So that's at least a 20 minute wait, from the moment we ordered.p

There ought to be bread and sauces on the table, to eat while we wait.

We ordered: Sea bass, which came with fries and 2 pieces of lettuce (€32). The mayonnaise we asked for in addition to the fries came in a supermarket bottle and not in a plate(as one might expect in a fancy restaurant). Mushroom ravioli (4 huge pieces on a plate) (€23). Tiramisu dessert was average(€10). Double whipped cream (100 cc glass) excessively sweet, with sugar that didn't melt completely (€2).

I find that there is a certain level of stinginess in the food served. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant. On a rather hot evening, the open windows were not very effective.

The bathroom smelled very clean, but it was pitch-dark at the entrance and in the toilet itself. I could not find any light switch in either room.

(Sep '19) Amazing place, we really loved our experience here!

We had the sea bass with olive oil, to which I requested be made with butter as well. (I'm writing this to show that the chef is willing to alter slightly from the standard recipe, which is great.) It was done to perfection! Also ordered mushroom ravioli and salad - both delicious!

The lack of a cocktail menu disappointed me a bit - had to settle for a refreshing mint tea.

The decor is great as well, truly authentic Italian!

5 stars for impeccable food, decor and service!

Edit (Nov '21): Returning customer, still 5*! Best kosher milky restaurant I've been to. Small complaint, there wasn't enough bread this time and was told that they are low so I can't get more... so it was more of a teaser than what it should be. Also menu doesn't seem to have changed in 2 years (I may be wrong on this, but I don't think I am), not that it really affected me, but still should get a refresh from...
