What was the best burger you ever had? Now imagine it 10 times better. That’s how I feel about Five Guys burgers. It’s a must-have for every burger enthusiast.
The Five Guys burger is prepared in a way, unlike other fast food restaurants. Their burgers are incredibly juicy. It puts into perspective how having a juicy burger is quite rare in today's fast-food world. Their form of preparation and grilling of the meat allows for the patty to retain all of its glorious juices for the customer to enjoy.
For such a delicious burger, the service is quicker than you would expect. I would wait around 10 minutes for a typical Five Guys meal. If we were to compare this to typical fast food, someone would say it’s slow, but Five Guys is nowhere near the typical fast food quality.
Every burger is incomplete without fries. I’m convinced Five Guys enjoys drowning their customers in their peanut oil-dipped fries. This unique combination of oil and their somewhat unpeeled fries makes for one of the most delicious combinations I have ever enjoyed.
Overall, I believe Five Guys is a must-visit destination for any burger enthusiast. Although a bit pricey, their juicy burgers are unmatched. Don’t forget about their peanut oil fries that should honestly be knocked down a few serving sizes. All of this in just...
Read moreFive Guys clearly missed its introduction on the Belgian hamburger restaurant market. The Antwerp restaurant is far from cozy, the menu is shown on a very small display and there is not a single indication about the size of the different fries' or burgers' portions and it is not clear how to get your order. When your dish is ready, an employee will yell a number in English or Dutch (often several times the same number before it is heard). It's 2018, maybe invest in a digital display showing order numbers or install self-order kiosks? Prices are ridiculously high but at least you can choose what you want on your small hamburger bun (9,5 euro for one hamburger without fries). I like the mushroom option though. Hamburger and fries are then put in a small bag on top of each other, even if you eat on the spot. The hamburger does not stay together when you eat it but it tastes ok. The fries however are cold, dry, tasteless and full of salt, whether you want salt or not. They are hard to digest and you can't even compare them with real Belgian fries. Fanta does not taste like the original Fanta and the tables and floor are not being cleaned. There should be a full-time table cleaner. I'd like to eat on a clean table. The music was awful but the personnel...
