We came to eat here since everyone is talking about it, but it was very disappointing, we were eating a bolognese and a bufalina calmly sitting down, from one moment to the next a lot of water starts coming out of a lamp, instead of sending the customers away and apologize for the mix-up, they didn't care, they put the bucket in, cleaned as if nothing had happened and continued working, this makes it clear that the main aim is to collect money and not care about the customers. The only person who apologized with a very high level of politeness was the waitress, nice and kind. The other employees didn't even have one because they knew they were in the wrong. Furthermore, as soon as we entered the "restaurant" there was a dead smell, in fact when we finished my boyfriend and I there were two mice at the exit as if they were pets of the restaurant. I wonder how a restaurant can be open in these conditions. It was disappointing we won't be returning at all...
Read moreMy review is perhaps not entirely representative for the restaurant. But okay here goes. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish for lunch. The pizza looked very nice but tasted quite bland The dough was not what you wish for in Napolitano style pizza stretchy and chewy, but just very soft and also bland. The pasta was a paccheri octopus and I’m afraid the octopus died for nothing, to make thing worse the pasta was undercooked too. Lastly the restaurant smelled like Lysol, but that could be because they just openend for lunch. The service was very good though. Would I try again? Sadly I do not think so. Would I recommend? Oddly enough I would say, just try it out for yourself, because the place does have a lot of fans and in the end, this is just a review by one....

While trying the few italian options we have tried first some home delivery from Malaciorta and once we realized the quality of products and the amazing Pizza we have decided to visit the restaurant, which, by the way, is in a very conventient location. We immediately felt home, we made Malaciorta our special place in Antwerp. Thanks to Salvatore Guido and Marika for their kindness while we were there, your food is amazing and we are sure you will keep preparing so many amazing plates...
