A wonderful experience! Brasserie Raymond was recommended by our B&B proprietor, and what a place it was. We walked up for an early dinner, and opted for a seat outside. The outdoor seating itself offered a relaxed viewpoint for people-watching, and the interior seating looked cozy and inviting.

The wait staff was top notch, displaying on-point attention and poise. The menu selections all sounded so delightful that we found it hard to really select dishes, so we opted to take their recommendations on the daily specials.

We were not disappointed at all, as everything was absolutely delicious. I’d love to recall each dish we ordered and describe them in mouth-watering detail, but I’m not articulate enough to do so, and lack the culinary vocabulary to do the dishes proper justice, so I’ll put it in simple terms and say that there was a lot of “OMG, it’s SO GOOD” going on.

Included below are just a few of the pictures that we took, which doesn’t cover the many dishes our small group ordered (our eyes got too big for our stomachs, I’ll tell you that).

All the while that we dined, the staff hovered and observed nearby, ready to jump in to refill a glass, clear a plate, or offer up additional servings of our steak, which was portioned large enough for two diners.

At the conclusion of our meal, our party agreed that this had been a delicious experience and we were quite pleased to have taken the suggestion. We’ll definitely be visiting again on a future trip...

I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life in a restaurant. I ordered the Belgian filet. The meat that came was uneatable. It was hard and even with the knife I could not cut it. I said this to the waiter. Nothing was done about it. I left the meat almost entirely on the dish. When the bill came I said to the waiter that they should not charge me for that dish. The manager or owner came and my wife explained what had happened. He said he did not believe us because we were tourists. He brought a raw piece of meat and threw it on the table and tasted it and said it was very soft and that We were lying. I said I could not accept his behavior snd words snd that the raw meat was not the one it was served to me. I have never been treated so rudely in my life in a restaurant. It was a very bad experience. "Tourists are liars" according to this gentleman. Tourists that bring resources to places like this restaurant. Tourists that praise and enjoy the beauties of...

Poor service unfortunately, as noted by others in reviews I see now they have an issue with treating customers with respect, ruining our first experience dining in Bruges. Waiter was Amateur at best, in a hurry and forgot to order our starters. Instead of taking away the main and bringing the starters, the waiter rudely advised to hurry in deciding if we wanted to have the started at the end of the meal or not at all. I guess the basic understanding of starters (hint is in the name) isn’t understood by this establishment. No apology for the error taking place. We asked to just bring when they could. However the execution of the snails was also poor, rushed, with no taste. What a shame. Our main was Belgium fillet steak and a choosing of sauce which was lovely with a side of salad; which was bland and fries; which were dry. Overall I would suggest not visiting here as there are many amazing places to dine in the area which we have now...

Amazing! A real place to go! I went there recently and I was fascinated about their menu, their portions, their food taste but also the good price (for a Flemish restaurant). The waiters were very friendly and welcoming, and food was just AMAZING! This is a wonderful place to visit, very charming where quality and good price come together! Don't go to other places suggested for tourist and come to this place because you won't regret it! Flemish and French dishes are served with a good drink selection! We ordered "Vol-au-vent met balletjes" (26,50€) and "Zeebaarsfilet met risotto en pompoencrème" (36€). We also took some beers, champagne and wine. We didn't pay that much at the end! (I can't find the ticket anymore, but it was around 90€). Take a look at the pictures for a suggestion; the "vol-au-vent" is served in multiple times, so when the waiters see your plate is almost empty, they serve you a bit more. Amazing, isn't it? :)

Avoid the fish soup (Bouillabaisse) ! This was not the first time we ate at Brasserie Raymond, and we used to like the great food. The kitchen was excellent a couple of years ago.... This time,I had the sole, served with fries and my fish was not completely baked. My husband and my friend had the fish soup! The worst bouillabaisse they ever eat: fish was over cooked, resulting in tasteless unstructured pieces and the bones were floating in the plate ... 32€ pp for a bad meal ! We ordered a very nice Sancerre with our food, and that was the best at the table. We complained about the bouillabaisse, but our waiter said that he never had complaints from other people. I payed my pricy bill (171 €) and left. We, will “NEVER” go back, and hope the kitchen will be informed about this bad reheated soup!
