My experience at this McDonaldâs was simply horrible. We arrived in the afternoon as a group of three and used the self-order system before finding a table. However, finding a place to sit was a challenge. Asking employees for directions or information was a disaster. Weâre in Belgium, so we expected them to speak Dutch, but none of them did. Their English was barely understandable, making communication in our native language (Dutch) impossible.
After wandering around for a while, we finally found a spot to sit. Although our food didnât take long to arrive, the service was lacking. There were no polite gestures like âplease,â âthank you,â or âenjoy your meal.â The employees seemed uninterested and unenthusiastic.
The food was cold, the cheese wasnât even melted, and to top it off, the ice cream came out with the fries and burgers, instead of being served separately at the end of the meal.
To make matters worse, an elderly lady sitting next to usâon the first floor, because there was no space elsewhereâasked an employee for mayonnaise since she had forgotten to order it downstairs. The employee, who didnât understand Dutch, eventually told her, âYou had to order that downstairs,â and then walked away, leaving her to struggle. Our daughter ended up going downstairs to get the mayonnaise for her.
The level of politeness towards customers here is non-existent. I could go on about our experience, but suffice it to say, this was our first...
Read moreShockingly bad service. Waited 30 mins for our order and they forgot my wife's burger. I went to the counter and was told that it was not possible. I brought the receipt to show the manager and was told. We are not giving away free food today. I asked for his name and he would not tell me. How McDonald's can have a manager like that is beyond me. I'm over 50 years old and I'm not happy to be embarrassed by a manger like that in front of people after I wait 30 mins for food and they get the order wrong. An the fact he refused to give his name says it all. Another member of staff said the managers name was Peter but he was unavailable and the guy I was talking to was called Hassan or Hiren. Anyway ruined my otherwise lovely visit to Bruge by the imbiciles working behind the counter there. My advice is if it's busy don't wait and Check Your ORDER before you leave...
Read moreWe went there with a person with reduced mobility. We were a group and we wanted to eat altogether on the 3rd floor upstairs. There is a lift to be used for the staff and for people with reduced mobility. We asked the staff to use the lift for the person with reduced mobility and they said that she could it downstairs. We told them the manager we wanted to eat altogether upstairs but he insisted that she could eat downstairs. It's a shame that the staff of a company like McDonad's can be so rude and do not allow a person with reduced mobility to use a lift. Also the toilets are on the 3rd floor, which is not really accessible for many old people or people with reduced mobility. Total disaster, especially the way the manager treated us. When we asked for complaint forms, they told that they did not have them, that we could do it on the website....
