Has been on the look out for a burger since I arrived in the country from Chicago. I've been fortunate to say that I know a good burger.
So I'm living the life that I love now in beautiful Brugge Belgium. Is there not a more beautiful country than Belgium and a more gorgeous city than Brugge. I mean what is there not to fall in love with. I love the language but can't speak it yet but everyones communication just blows my mind.
So back to the quest for a great burger in Brugge. One day at work I googled and on my 2nd monitor and I saw something that looked amazing. "That's what I will surprise my wife with tonight".
Living in Brugge is there anything more serene than a night out for a drink and some delicious eating?
Found this place set ourselves and was welcomed in by the staff. We were even ask which language we preferred to speak so that was a bonus as again I'm new in the country. Menu is nice, tons of options(other edible selections) to eat but this night was about the burger you can even get gluten free buns. Burger was made of a well cooked Angus if I remember correctly, well seasoned, hot and succulent. Each bite was eventful, didnt like the house sauce as anything spicy gives me a bad tummy so that's the only thing I didn't like. Give me plain mayo and this was a solid 7 out of 10 burger as the bun was outstanding and the overall presentation was worth the €€€€€.
My new found spot.for a burger unless my voyages find me elsewhere. I liked this place the vibe was excellent and the music was spot on. Friendly staff, super relaxing ambience, delicious burgers, cold unique beer overall makes this newly established joint a must do and they open 7 days...
Read moreThe food was good, we had two burgers with two portions of chicken wings. At the end the chicken wings never arrived which turned out to be great, we were quite full. Now, the two stars come because on the side of the burger they gave us some fries. At first I thought it was weird because on the menu they make you pay them separately and I couldn't get why someone would want extra fries if they already came with the burger. As a first timer I didn't really think it through and no server came back to our table so we just started eating. At the end I went to pay and inform gently the staff that we didn't receive the chicken wings but that wasn't a problem if they could just get them out of the bill. The lady couldn't speak english very well nor french but after understanding what I was saying she told me that the waitress must have made a mistake. I was expecting her to be more sorry than what she actually was and AT LEAST take off the fries from the bill. Instead she acted as if I HAD to pay them because they were given to us. I work in restaurants since I can remember and that is not a good service. You made the mistake, you take them off as well or find a solution. Instead she just asked me if it was ok and I've got hit by awkwardness and was too shy to ask her to take them off because it was only 8€. As a second thought, it was only 8€ for them too.
The food was good as I said, not excellent and the service was ok until this happened.
Unfortunately, professionalism is...
Read moreBohemian Burgers is hands-down one of the most heartwarming and memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. This family-owned gem doesn’t just serve incredible homemade food—they serve it with genuine kindness and hospitality that you simply don’t find often.
I visited this restaurant with my lovely family to celebrate my birthday, and I was completely blown away by how far the owners went to make it special. Not only did they surprise me with a decorated burger and candles, but they actually stayed open just for us—even though we found out later they had technically closed for the evening. They never rushed us, never made us feel like an inconvenience, and instead treated us like we were long lost friends.
The food itself was phenomenal—every dish clearly made with care and tradition. The burger was fresh and perfectly cooked, the sauces rich and full of flavor, and the portions were generous. You could tell everything was homemade and made with love.
The owners of the restaurant (family owned) chatted with us, laughed with us, and made us feel at home. It was more than just dinner—it felt like we were part of something special.
This kind of hospitality is rare, and I’ll never forget how they made my birthday feel so personal and meaningful. I can’t recommend this place enough—whether you’re celebrating or just craving an authentic, welcoming dining experience, Bohemain Burgers...
