KFC — Restaurant in Brussels

1. the meat: in a chicken selling place you'd expect to eat REAL chicken, being able to see the texture and the flashes of the chicken meat, nope. it is just a super processed mix of meat (supposedly chicken based) covered with a thick layer of crumbs, tasy, but healthy?
2. no vegan/plant based options: while all other big fast food players are moving to an offer with vegan/vegetarian/ meat-plant-based alternatives, nothing as such was on sale in KFC. Some may argue "why would you look for vegan burger in a chicken vendor?" well, for the very same reason in KFC you can find there hot coffee and ice cream: differentiate the offer and expand the potential demand.
3. slow: I went on a off peak Sunday evening and it took enormous time for just 1 sandwich.

KFC seems still stuck in the nineties or early 2000's where there was absolutely no concern about health and ecology in the fast food market. (a positive thing to report was that they claim, as stated on the paper tray cover, that they are improving chicken well being and complying with EU regulations, basically they were advertising the obvious making it sound as something revolutionary, merci bedankt KFC).

Interestingly, i was asking myself why i have never eaten in a KFC in my 36years of life, now I am sure they'll likely never see me in...

In fact rating: 3,5 stars Date of visit: 7 of June 2023 between 17h30 - 18h15 We ordered the following: 1 Zinger burger with fries and miranda drink (in menu form) 6 hot chicken wings 4 crispy tenders for a total price of 23,65 euro at the Kiosk The zinger burger was warm, and good from quality, just like we like it. Also the fries were nicely baked and warm. The hot chicken wings were a little bit too spicy, just bit too much, this resulted in that you couldn't taste the chicken that good. Big remark, the "crispy" tenders were not really crispy anymore, but very soft, bit disappointing for me, since I really like the crispy tenders at KFC, they were also half cold when they were delivered at our place.

The new sauce called: SUPER CHARGER was very nicely put together and the taste is great! Staff was very friendly and helpfull when we asked them some questions. Other remarks: AIRCO? When we visited the place was very warm, so either the airco was broken or wasn't put on. A shame when you want to enjoy your food. Paying 1 euro for using the toilet as a paying customer in KFC?? A shame..If you already pay 23 euro!

Seeing all the negative reviews, I wonder why so many BFC, HFC, or xx chicken in Brussels but only 3 KFCs. This one is only 8 minutes from my hotel. Tonight I returned late from Gent and gave it a try. Lot of customers but the big shop still have many seats. Customers have no bad faces. I ordered 18 hot wings + set meal. Went upstair and wait. Customers have big number tag. 7.x minutes it was delivered to me. All foods were normal and hot (in temperature). Except that hot wings are not "hot" (spicy foods are not hot in Europe, as normal). After meal, I visited the toilet, there is a gate which normally you have to pay. Europe standard practice is a code for access printed on your receipt but no. The waiter said €0.70 for access. But the LED showed €0.00 but you still have to scan contactless to go in. Obviously they have already changed and give up the charge but the hardware still intact.

One more point, within seconds after we left, a waiter showed up and clean the table. Today is a Saturday night.

Obviously the competitors are giving all the negative reviews. Bad Belgians! or they...
