disappointing. I do not recommend. bad management. a very stressful evening.

I made a reservation to celebrate my birthday three weeks in advance for roughly 40 people. I called a couple of times to ask some informations and it no concern was expresses about the size of the group or any plan to deal with this number of people.

On the day of my birthday, I called once more to check if everything was ready and if they needed anything (maybe a pre-order or something). This time I was surprised by a VERY RUDE man who seemed stressed and concerned about this large group. Again, no plan was mentioned. Also, he graciously said: "this is not a place for a place for poor people, they have to come here to spend money" .

?????

37 people eating and drinking? what else did he need? gold?

In the end, the night was a caos. The restaurant was packed. Besides my birthday, there were a lot ( really a lot) of other clients inside and outside and the restaurant is quite small, with only two waiters and what it seemed a very small kitchen.

It took 3 hours for us to manage to have a dish. At some point they ran out of rice and they had to go out to buy more. the staff was completely overworked and it was hard to get a drink even.

When I complained they said how busy they were and how full the restaurant was.

If you can not host an event like this, don't accept it. The problem is to accept and not deliver.

badly organized, badly managed.

It was my birthday and I was super stressed. My dear friends were waiting for hours to eat and paid for a disappointing experience.

Decepcionante.

absurdo.

Enfim, a noite foi um caos. O restaurante estava lotado.

The restaurant is located in a really quiet street very close to the Église Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours. It has several tables outside which are nicely decorated with Brasilian flag colors. Also internally there are different tables and Brasilian style decorations but I preferred to seat outside as it was good weather and very pleasant to stay. Service was quite quick to collect the order even though I had some problems cause I don't speak French and the waitress didn't speak English. Anyway, I managed to order a starter (codfish balls) and a main plate. I found the starter really good. For the main plate I was tempted by the Picanha but I finally opted for a Feijoada as I wanted to try a tipica plate (other than Picanha which I tried already). It was good but now I know that I definitely prefer Picanha :-) In summary, a really nice place with some good...

To describe it with one word: FANTASTIC ⭐️

To be fair, it was my first time trying Brazilian cuisine and I really enjoyed it!

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you feel very welcome and happy since the interior design is very colorful!

(another dish with chicken) Drinks: Caipirinha, Guarana soda Total 🏷️: ~ 60€ (2 persons)

All in all, why five ⭐️? unique, colorful interior design kind service fairly big sizes for the price delicious food - especially the chicken was extremely tender and juicy ✨(see pics and videos 🤤) uplifting and warm atmosphere 🫧

All in all, I can definitely RECOMMEND it if you’re looking for trying out...

Great place to try out for Brazilian cuisine amateurs! We ordered the cheese buns (it can take up to 25' to prepare so you have to be a bit patient), salmon with passion fruit sauce, fried buns for starters. All very tasty and not too heavy. We had national dish (with stewed meat and beans), fried fish and vegetarian dish (it looks like a curry but it's not), everything comes with rice, manioc, salsa as side dishes. The food is delicious and the waiters are very friendly and patient. They answers all our questions with a smile. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very cosy. For those who work in Belgium and has meal voucher card (i.e Sodexo), the restaurant also accepts the card. Conclusion: highly recommend La Catina!!
