Here, too, you should reserve a table to get a fixed seat without time pressure. The two starters were excellent. The vegetarian bruschetta with tomatoes and garlic was delicious and just right for 3 people. The Montanara (fried pizza dough with tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and rocket) was very tasty. The fried pizza dough was soft and crunchy and the tomatoes rounded out the dish. The pizzas were incredible. The dough, especially the crust, as with the Montanara very soft and crunchy at the same time. Just as you would expect pizza dough to be. The base was perfect, not too thin and not too thick. The tomato sauce was a dream. You can feel the original Italian cuisine. By far the best pizza I have eaten outside of Italy. An absolute must for every visitor to Brussels! The staff is typically Italian and very helpful.

Italian specialties at their finest. After an year traveling around the world far away from my home country I couldn't let this place trigger my curiosity and craving for some really great food. Despite being alone, eating pizza here took me back in the years of my childhood when I used to go with family and grandma to eat in a delicious restaurant every once in a while. I strongly recommend this place for pizza and probably all Italian food offered. The personnel is extremely kind and welcoming and, at no surprise, most are Italians, hence the incomparable quality of the food offering. The place is really warm and welcoming, I'm front of the cathedral is possible to find plenty of parking places which are just few steps away. I recommend to reserve a table for peak hours.

PIZZA STANDING OVATION. Ok, it’s true: this pizzeria is a winner in The Europe rankings and it deserves it! 5 stars pizza. To date one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Surely: the best one of Brussels! Fresh ingredients and truly Italian products; preparation of the exceptional dough and excellent red sauce. Fabulous mozzarella. ps. My mother is from Naples ;-) I know what a GOOD pizza is. My suggestion? ;-) PARMIGIANA STAFF STANDING OVATION again. Super super staff: professional, kind. The people who work in the pizzeria are extraordinarily nice and make the pizza even better. Great testimony of the beautiful Italian culture. If you want to get to know Italy, try dining here Ps. Take Out...Check your Pizza before leaving.

I ordered a pizza De Li Castelli, took it home and heated it in the oven and realizing after eating a few bites that there was no Porchetta inside (the main ingredient). I decided to call them just to inform them and see if they would maybe compensate me in some way (and to see if they understood civility and customer service). I paid 20 euros for basically a cheese and mushroom Pizza. Place is overpriced anyways...but hey, it's Corona time and my options were limited. My favourite pizza places Basils and Pasta Madre were closed at lunch.

The girl answered the phone who took my order and asked the chef who I heard screaming in the background DEFENSIVELY that he put it on and that it was under the cheese. I was well aware of how pizza can be layered differently and insisted that..no..there isn't any on it. I moved the cheese around but knew there wasn't any under or anywhere. He continued shouting adamantly in the background that it was there. So he was basically implying that I lied, was dumb, or whatever. Porchetta is not a subtle flavour by the way.

So she said basically stated perplexed "what do you want me to do?". I suggested maybe a discount next time. The staff should know what to do in if there are any issues. I then knew after her indifference and the cooks Italian temper tantrum, I was never coming back ( the mozzarella was like rubber anyways) so just ended the phone call with a Ciao!

Below is a picture messy looking pizza after trying to find the Porchetta. The place is...

We took the charcuterie and cheese board as an entrée: extremely good. Everything was tasty and fresh and also very filling. The issue was that the waitress asked us if we wanted to switch out the bread for the foccacia. What she didn't mention is that the foccacia is an extra €6! That was a surprise when we got the check.

Onto the pizza: we took a 4 cheeses and a ham pizza. 4 cheeses: The cheeses were tasty. The pizza was a bit undercooked to my taste, but it was still great Ham: There were clusters of ham on one side and almost none on the other, so it was not evenly distributed. The cheese on the pizza was quite tasty as well.

The service: not really good. We had a reservation at 18h30. The site does mention that our reservation was until 20h. What we didn't expect was the waiters going back and forth asking if we were done starting at 19h40. We felt pressured to eat quickly even though there were 20 minutes left.

The atmosphere: The establishment we were in was very bland. White walls, almost no decoration. The white walls were dirty with what I think was tomato sauce. The tables were wobbly. The place is extremely loud. We had to shout to hear each other across the table, that was not that large.

I will probably go back for the charcuterie board since it was extremely good. For actually enjoying my dining experience, I would go...

When “la pizza è bella” opened this was one of the best Neapolitan pizza places in Brussels and one of my favourite. I write this review because the last few times I ate there I was somehow disappointed and sad about several points which made me decide not to go anymore.

  1. the pizza is not cooked enough: it’s burnt a bit on the underside but overall the Neapolitan crust which is indeed thicker but usually light and bread-like, is raw and chewy and results in a heavy pizza. Also the mushrooms were still raw.
  2. I was surprised about the oil. Everywhere in Italy (but also Brussels) if one asks for oil (hot or regular) one is given a bottle of oil, while at “la pizza è bella” they serve single portion bags like maionese which gives it a very fast food feel
  3. I asked for a Coke Zero and without any comment from the waiter I received a Pepsi. I told the waiter and he said “it’s the same “ I can deal with 2 and 3 though I think it’s not very professional, sustainable or authentic but for me personally a raw pizza is not ok for a place where the prices start at 15€...
