Went there today with a friend who is severely and visibly ill as she finally felt hungry and wanted to eat some piadina. We ordered one each. As I have many food allergies and intolerances, I told them that I could have not gone for any of the standard piadine on their tableau and asked for a simple piadina with ham and mozzarella, and leak, to substitute all other veggies that I can’t eat. We waited for half an hour, whilst my friend felt sick. After 30 mins, I went inside to ask how long more it would have taken as my friend was unwell because of her illness. The waiter said we’d have to wait 15 minutes. We went back inside after 15 minutes and after a while they finally gave us our piadine. I saw that they had put rocket salat in my one, to which I am allergic and that I had specifically asked not to add. After 45 minutes of wait, wrong piadina and no apologies, nothing… They made another one in front of me, in all hurry. This was basically half empty…just leak, two slices of what they call “mozzarella” (but it’s actually cheese in slices from the supermarket) and a tiny bit of prosciutto. My friend didn’t eat hers as in the meantime her little bit of hunger had gone. A mix of unlucky events and crowd making their job harder, but it would have been nice to at least get an apology....
Read moreOutrageous lack of flexibility or the story of how we left the place without trying the food: We entered the place with 3 colleagues with the hope of a nice lunch on the sunny terrace. While reading the menu we asked the staff to pull together two tables so we could sit down comfortably. Apart from us a couple were eating there and another table was occupied by four people in the other corner, so it was quite reasonable to ask this little favour as there were plenty of free tables. And here comes the twist, the waitress said no, and told us to sit to two different tables. 🤯 Seriously? After hearing this nonsense, we decided to order only for takeaway, because obviously we cannot be forced to sit to two different tables. While reading the menu still standing on the terrace, not even touching the very precious table positions, another waitress came there and repeated the exact same thing to us. Well done, embarrassing yourselves twice in 5 minutes. This was the point when we left the place and searched for another one where the very basic nouns, e.g. guest or service has a...
Read moreIt's sad to see one of my go to places for sunday lunch lost its shine. Almost every sunday i used to get a focaccia in the shop but the last 3 times it was not that good and i believe it was all because of the lack of the attention to the details. The crust was not that crunchy as per usual and the bread was a bit stale. The vegetables were mostly raw in the middle and the lack of mozzarella was very obvious. The cannoli shell was mushy and lacking the structural crunch that makes it so good. I hope the shops gets back to the usual standard as it is a very enjoyable place with...
