We found this one of the few places open after 11pm that still serves food. The delicious aroma from the grill greeted us on the street, and coming inside was an experience! It is an informal, lively restaurant with large wooden tables and bright lighting, giving an atmosphere of a diner or fast food restaurant. The washroom facility is basic and clean. It is worth going just to see the magnificent grill and oven! Laden with sizzling meat and decorative engraved exterior it is quite spectacular. Service is attentive and prompt, even late at night when it was quite busy. A dizzying array of options are displayed on the board, or you can just select from the vast selection in the fresh counter. We had mezze including baba ghanoush, humous, roasted lamb, chicken and salad and every morsel was fresh and delicious! The coffee was rich and aromatic and the complimentary honey cake was a perfect ending to the meal. I would definitely recommend this place.

Received more than expected for dinner at this Syrian-Lebanese restaurant, at a modest price. We ordered mixed kebabs and the vegetable plate. Each came with 3 dips, salad served in lettuce cups, lots of green beans, and a basket of pita bread stuffed with a spicy sauce. The waiter also brought us an appetizer of pickles and a starter, and a coconut-pistachio flan as dessert. The restaurant was busy for a holiday Monday night around 7pm. We were seated at the table nearest the door, so we observed the steady stream of takeout orders. This seems to be a popular spot for families. Service was attentive. Post-pandemic protocols were in force, so inspection of our foreign vaccination certificates took a moment. This business is a great choice for visitors to the Boulevard Anspach shopping district, who don't want to go to a chain restaurant.

- rakat €6 - rice €8 - salad €7 - batata harra €7 - 1kg mixed grill €35 absolutely delicious food! portions were very generous - we over-ordered so we didn't manage to finish everything but they kindly let us take it away so i reckon this much food could easily feed 5-6 people. they also provide complimentary bread of two varieties - one is plain and the other is filled with a spiced tomato spread. i would highly recommend ordered the salad alongside the grill bc it helps balance out the heavy meats. even though it is €7, it is a massive bowl and comes with lots of different vegetables so very good value of money!

If you're looking for a truly authentic Middle Eastern dining experience in Brussels, Zain Al Shaam is a must-visit. The food here is simply incredible, bursting with flavor and showcasing the region's rich culinary traditions. The aubergine moussaka was a standout dish, with its perfectly cooked eggplant, savory filling, and creamy béchamel sauce. Every bite was a symphony of textures and tastes. The other dishes we tried were equally delicious, each offering a unique and memorable experience. The restaurant's convenient location near the city's major attractions makes it easy to incorporate a meal here into your itinerary. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a local looking for a new culinary adventure, Zain Al Shaam is...
