De Maecht van Ghent — Restaurant in Ghent

I had a really disappointing experience at this club, mainly due to the behavior of the bouncers at the door. They were incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional, which completely ruined the vibe before we even stepped inside. I don’t understand why they hire such rude staff—it’s like they’re actively trying to drive customers away. A night out should be fun and welcoming, but the doordogs (as they seem to act) made it feel like we were intruding rather than being valued guests.

It’s such a shame because Ghent is known for its friendly and open atmosphere, and this kind of behavior doesn’t reflect the city’s spirit at all. Until they address this issue, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Ghent deserves...

Nice place but my other half went to the toilet then on the way out of the toilets a rude waitress/cleaner abbruptly demanded 50 cents to use it! Abit of a liberty asking someone after they have been and especially when you have just spent 50 euros on drinks between the 2 of you. We left after we finished the last drinks out...
