I ordered pho saigon and my husband ordered pho bo nam. The difference is pho saigon has toppings of meatballs, raw beef sliced and cooked beef sliced meanwhile pho bo nam has only cooked beef sliced on top. My fav topping is the meatballs. They are soft and delicious, such a good combination with the broth. What special from pho soup is the broth, I always longing for its simple and humble taste yet flavorful. But sadly, the broth is not what I'm expected. It was delicious soup but something was not reaching my expectations. Its just my preference. I believe and saw other people enjoyed their meals there. we ordered also mix dim sum consist of 2 ha cao and 2 xiu may. I prefer the xiu may, just because I'm used to ha cao with super thin, glassy skin texture and crunchy fresh shrimp inside but thats not what I found from the ha cao here. The xiu may was okay. I ordered also the cold chinese buble tea with brown sugar, and it didn't have the taste such in the commonly bubble tea shop. It came with warm bubble tea with small amount of ice on top. I think other drink options has a better taste. Maybe later in another chance, will probably try it. The service was not so fast, because we have to wait long time to order our menu and our food. We expected to have our appetizer (dim sum) to come a bit earlier but they ended come together with the main menu. Overall it was just good, not bad at all and they serve us slow but nicely. I wish my input will help to improve the quality of the restaurant in...
Read moreI visited without a reservation on a busy Saturday evening. There were still some empty tables so the staff were happy to accommodate me. The staff working there were friendly and spoke perfect English. I asked and was told there were unfortunately no spicy vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. They do offer sriracha on some tables though which I used. Although the menu clearly states what dishes are vegetarian, the staff were quite confused about what could be made vegan (as it does not indicate what is vegan on the menu) so I stuck with a simple order so as not to be accidentally served any animal products. I ordered the Goi Chay appetiser which was a fresh, cold Vietnamese vermicelli noodle salad with some tofu strips and raw vegetables. For my main course I ordered the Pho Chay which is a rice noodle broth soup with tofu and asked for it vegan. Both were very light and fresh but unfortunately lacked a lot of flavour. It was dog-friendly which is a big bonus! I would recommend a visit if you're in the city centre and fancy an affordable Vietnamese meal, but I probably wouldn't recommend for vegans or anyone looking for...
Read moreThis restaurant is literally a scam. The staff told that they cannot issue refund even though they charged wrong amount putting that it is their policy. Also if you raise this problem to the manager or staff, they became so aggressive.
When you need BTW receipt, please don't consider this as your choice. Card number on the ticket and my physical card number is not matching but they cannot give clear reason, just putting that the customers are behaving so picky.
I seriously do not recommend this restaurant, full of scam.
(Add after the reply) Perfectly lie what they posted. Even they did not justify what was the problem, just saying that machine is loco. Even they said that they don't have any record of detailed accountancy, including which they purchased for ingredients and which they sold. Yelling at the customers and treating who raised issue as a sort of psycho after a while, even that was...
