Made a reservation on a Saturday using the form on their website for a Monday lunch for 1 person (not knowing how busy this place is during lunch). The form mentioned without confirmation of Sushi Palace the reservation is not confirmed, so because I received no answer by the next day I needed to call to confirm (it turned out to be not busy, so they probably didn't bother to confirm the reservation form on their website). The sushi itself is okay, but the whitefish and salmon sashimi tasted very bland. The fantasy rolls are nice, but again you taste more the added condiments than the fish. Carrots and salad may seam nice for presentation but for me they don't belong on a sushi plate (a seaweed decoration would be far more complimentary to sushi). Overall it's okay at this price point but overhyped due to marketing as 'being the best sushi in town' I expected better quality. If a restaurant adds a reservation form on their website, at least they should answer to reservations because 1st time guests don't know how busy a restaurant is (and then start to wonder if their reservation is okay). Not 'bad' but pretentious to call it 'the finest...
Read moreVery very good sushi! I had a spicy tuna roll to start and it was super fresh and very flavorful. Well put together and beautifully presented.
My wife had a vegetarian fried rice and she has declared this the best fried rice she's ever had. Red pepper, broccoli, zucchini and cucumber all mixed in to deliver a great dish.
I had the chicken curry for my main. It was very good. I almost dropped a star because I asked for this to be extra spicy and rather than make it for me they brought me peppers on the side. In the end the flavor was good after I added all the spice they offered.
We will probably go back based on the strength of the sushi roll and the fried rice but I will try something other...
Read moreThe food was ok, but I checked before ordering whether the salmon skin would be fresh and crunchy. Later I noticed it wasn't crunchy, but rather very chewy. Since we only ordered 3 rolls and I recently had an implant placed, this was quite disappointing. The fish wasn't the freshest, but it wasn't bad either. You get what you pay for at a generic sushi place.
We sat outside as my dining partner prefers terraces over inside. Not much to comment on. It was comfy and clean enough. Do note that cars pass through the street, so if you're sensitive to the smell of exhaust gas, I recommend you sit inside.
The staff was friendly. Menu a bit big maybe. Overall satisfied, but slightly disappointed about the...
