Pam Pam — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

On Wednesday evening 14th of May 2025 between 21:30 and 22:00, I visited your establishment with two friends. Each of us purchased a beer, and at some point, we stepped outside with our glasses—completely unaware that this was not permitted. A member of your staff, a kind waitress, approached us to inform us of the policy. We immediately apologized and returned to the premises without issue.

One of my friends, however, was momentarily delayed in returning. At that point, a male staff member—possibly a waiter or the owner—approached him in an extremely aggressive and confrontational intent. When thw waiter came back, we politely advised the staff member to remain calm, as we had simply been unaware of the rule and meant no disrespect.

To our shock, he began shouting at us in a highly inappropriate and uncontrolled manner, to the extent that we genuinely feared for our safety and questioned his mental stability. Despite our repeated attempts to de-escalate the situation, his verbal aggression escalated further, even threatening physical violence in front of other customers. The incident was both humiliating and disturbing, and created a scene of public harassment that left us feeling unsafe and deeply unsettled.

This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and poses a serious concern for the safety and well-being of your clients. We strongly urge the management to take immediate and decisive disciplinary action to address this behavior and prevent future incidents.

Maintaining a safe and respectful environment is essential for any public establishment. I hope the management will act swiftly to uphold the integrity and reputation...

This is a hip pub where locals like to meet up to have drinks and talk. The outdoor seating is plentiful and right at a corner where the sun shines when the sun is out. So for atmosphere, I would have given 5 stars. But inside the music was all rap music, mostly in French. I am not against rap but all that thumping music is not condusive to a relaxing meal or conversation. This, I imagine, is why the locals were all bundled up sitting outside while we sat, warmer but nearly alone, inside.

My partner had two beers but we saw the wait staff serve many delightful looking cocktails and the cocktail prices were not outrageous.

I had the duck with potatoes au gratin and it was top notch pub food. I would recommend that dish. My partner had fish croquettes that were advertised as an entree but actually, in presentation and size, were an appetizer. So for that dish he was a little resentful of having to pay an entree price.

I would absolutely recommend this pub as an outdoor drinking experience for cocktails and beer. I would also recommend it as a pub dining experience just not for the croquettes...

You come for the terrace and the vibe but unfortunately not for the food ! (At least not this time but we’ll try our luck again you never know :) )

Unfortunately it was really bad for both my friend (who ordered a blue entrecôte and got a well done one) and me (do not get a veggie burger!, it’s just a store bought potato patty inside a bun with a salad leaf)

If it came cheap it would be acceptable but Brussels prices apply here too.

But the location is lovely the music inside is nice and staff is nice despite the crowd.

We ll try our luck another time but it’s definitely more of a coffee / bar spot than restaurant...
