We were travelling to The Netherlands and we decided to visit Lavaione. It is an amazing town, so we decided to have dinner. A local belgium girl recomended us to go to Stunnt straat, a popular street famous for its restaurants. We ended up at Masalatop restaurant. The service was good; the waiter spoke Spanish. We had mix plate (15€), lamb with korma sauce (28€), garlig naan (6€) and a 50cl bottle of still water (5€). The food was all very tasty and was served very quick. We really enjoyed it. Despite this, I just want to say that we found it a bit expensive; 54€ all together. The whole street was full of local people and many other tourists from other european countries. I do noy like these places for western tourists; I'd rather have my dinner where normal local people go; more interesting and sure much cheaper. Nevertheless, this is only my opinion.. The Masalatoo restauranr is a good place to go if want to est good...
Read moreWorst worst worst in the world... It's not a Indian restaurent .. Cheaters..don't know to cook. The way oil floats around the food is exactly Pakistani food. Smells very bad. Don't know how the locals are eating this, ugly kitchen. I will never ever enter in a restaurent in my country which is very bad like this and we don't have these type of cheaters saying Indian restaurent. The person who is preparing the food was Afghani, they don't have a person who cooks Indian food. In leuven you will not get proper Indian food. Most of them cheating by naming the restaurent as Indian type. Spoiling the name of real authentic asian food. Only recommended restaurent is Royal Indian food - by North Indian cook far far better in leuven and a Nepali...

It wasn't crowded for a Friday evening : possibly due to the fact that we reached only around 9 pm. Not so many bread options (there was no kulcha or roti) Similar case with the soup variety as well. Tomato soup was okay. Loved the mixed masala top platter in the starters. Wasn't so happy with the biryani - it didn't really taste anything like biryani but more of a mixed veg fried rice. The quantity is fair. I also missed a lemonade or lime juice option in the menu - that's just me : there are other hot and cold...
