The North Station is being updated. Therefore, businesses inside have been reshuffled and one of them is McDonald’s. Their new location inside the station is better, IMO. It is pretty spacious so even during rush hours, seating will be adequate. There are also enough machines to put in your order and you may pay in cash or card at the counter. Obvs, paying by card is the quickest and convenient.
Unfortunately, although the restaurant’s premises are clean, the same could not be said of the smell. I could smell the strong odor of grease and used oil. Well, fried things do smell, but you can also tell if the oil is stale. My fries and cheeseburger certainly smelled and tasted like they were dunked in old oil. When I do my own fries at home, I already have to change the oil after 10 uses. I bet ya this McDonald’s have not changed their frying oil in a while.
So yes, while service was fast and the interior was clean, the quality of food they serve leaves much to be desired. I just hope I won’t get a tummy ache or...
Read moreI'll be honest, I've never tasted fried chicken from McDonald's before (and I've been to quite a few in different places). I was awesome!!!! So succlent, juicy, tender, mouth watering. It had the perfect flavour and blend of spices... Not too hot, and not bland at all. It was a disco scene in my mouth to say the least!!!!
Now let's be fair, we know McDonald's is in a different category of restaurants. As a fast food restaurant I have rated this McDonald's outlet 5 stars primarily because of the presentation and taste of their food. Their service was good. Reliability great. Timing of preparation and delivery, excellent. However, the taste, oh the taste was in a different level. The fries were salted in a very balanced manner. I ordered twice to ensure it wasn't a fluke. The burgers was not shabby at all. It was well organized and presently well to be eaten. Honestly, I was really impressed considering other...
