Jenny's grab and go! — Restaurant in South Caye Caulker

My only knock against the place is their decision to not put prices on their menus. Perhaps it was my imagination, but it appeared that I could see the cogs turning in the servers head as to how much more a tourist would pay than a local for a special fry jack. For frame of reference, I paid $12BZ - and that is undoubtedly still a price I was happy with paying for what I received.

Actually, now I remember, its also worth nothing that the special fry jack does not contain much filling. It tastes nice - but the majority of the size of the meal comes from the jack, not from the filling that you pay significantly more for.

Jenny's is where it's at. The fry jacks are easily two times the size of the ones you get elsewhere on the island for the same (or less) price, and they are GOOD. Very casual to order, just roll up and tell Jenny what you want, she'll tell you what the wait time is, and then all you have to do is keep yourself together and manage the anticipation until you can get your hands on the best fry jacks on the island.

Our favorite part of eating here was witnessing all of the locals drive by on their carts, holler their order at Jenny, and then return a few minutes later for Jenny to bring their order out to them. In my opinion, the best local food place in terms of taste and price in Caye Caulker. The reason for the 4 stars is the speed. They take quite a bit of time to make your food, but it is really tasty and fresh. I had their Garnaches, tostadas, and Salbutes. I had 2 of each and the total came up to 7 Belize dollars which is 3.5 usd. If you’re into spicy food, please ask them for their spicy sauce. It is also delicious. I only went here for dinner.
