Great Atmosphere, But Not Ideal for Comfort

I visited Guillotina Bar with a friend, and while the atmosphere was lively, the experience fell short. Upon arrival, we weren’t informed that not all tables had seats. We were directed to a table and waited, assuming seats would be brought, but that wasn’t the case.

The bar wasn’t super packed, but most tables were taken. Since we wanted to sit and chat, we decided to leave without ordering. The staff was polite but not very helpful, which added to the frustration.

Terrible experience. The creepy old bartender upstairs was trying to hit on my girfriend and would not leave us alone. I had to ask him to leave. He then stood a few meters away staring at us. We ordered two cocktails, one of which we did not drink because it was disgusting. The creepy bar tender continued to stand a few meters away watching us. We were the only peope upstairs so it was super awkward. We had to leave after 20 minutes because we felt uncomfortable. We went downstairs to pay our bill and were disappointed yet again by how unfriendly and rude the waiter was. I do not recommend this place. If I could give it minus one...

Superb experience! Definitely a must go in Sao Paulo. Their exclusive drinks menu is fantastic, they're surprisingly well thought and constructed and so are their eats. Service is impeccable, the staff is absolutely friendly. Not sure how is their English speaking, though. The place is small, so getting there early is advised if you don't care...
