I went with two friends for dinner to have some ramen, since it’s been really cold in Sao Paulo lately, so it was the perfect choice. We arrived around 7:30 PM and there was already a line to get a table. The waitlist is managed through a QR code at the entrance, and everything was very well organized.
We go to Misoya regularly, both for lunch and dinner, since it’s close to where we work.
This time, I tried the Okinawa ramen, which has a lighter and more delicate broth and I really liked it. I’ve actually tried all the flavors they offer, and my favorites are the two extremes ... the most intense (Hokkaido) and the mildest (Okinawa). Since ramen can be quite heavy, going with the lighter one was the best choice for that night.
We also ordered edamame, but I found the portion quite small for the price. At other places, you usually get a more generous serving for the same amount.
The service this time was excellent. However, I’m rating it 3 stars because the service tends to be inconsistent ... it really depends on which staff member is attending you. As I mentioned, we’ve been there many times, and the experience can vary.
That said, the quality of the ramen is one of the best in São Paulo, and I definitely recommend this spot! If it’s a cold day, make sure to go early or be prepared to...
Read moreThe restaurant is well located in the Paulista Avenue region, close to Augusta Street. It is easily accessible on foot from Consolação Metro station. However, if you go by car, you will have to look for a parking lot (which is a little expensive in the region). The restaurant service is excellent! The staff serve us with extreme politeness and explain the dishes in detail when necessary. The restaurant only serves soy-based ramen (which in my opinion is the best!). There are, if I'm not mistaken, four types of soy broth. Each has its own flavor intensity. The ramen is well served and the presentation is admirable. Despite not being so cheap, the quality, taste and presentation easily justify the price. As for starters, we tried the gyoza, edamane, karaague and breaded shrimp. All very good! I highlight the gyoza among the starters. I highly recommend the experience! I will definitely come...
Read moreCame here twice, once to dine in and once to take out. Loved both experiences. They have a wide variety of ramen and their menu explains the differences perfectly. Their staff is incredibly attentive and the ramen was delicious with filling portions. I was skeptical about how the take out might come packaged but it was packaged with great care and even came with reheating instructions. I thought it had great attention to detail to make sure it was still a good experience and I really liked that. All in all it’s an excellent restaurant and I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the...
