Finally decided to give Nelita a try after receiving good recommendations from friends and positive reviews from the local food community. As always, when a restaurant has good recommendations and becomes a comercial success, expectations come along. Nelita was not different. Expectations were set high for this modern and cozy Italian restaurant located in Pinheiros, in a very prominent restaurant cluster in the area. We visited it in a regular week night. We were able to get seated even without reservations. But don’t take it as a rule: the restaurant is small and it is always packed and we were lucky. Make reservations. Nelita delivered a very good experience overall. The drinks we had before dinner were correct and they have an interesting variety of original drinks in the menu. The kids on the bar that night were very professional and made an excellent service. The food is excellent. The quality of the ingredients, the execution, presentation. Top notch. The octopus papardelle, which is one of the most famous dishes in the menu, was awesome. The chèvre agnolotti with lemon confit had a very interesting mild sweetness that surprised us. And the scallops with Beurre Blanc, guanciale and a local wild bee honey was by far the high point of the night, one of the best starter we had in a very long time. The disappointment was the extreme unbalance between the size of the dishes (specially the starters) and the price charged for them. I am used to visit modern restaurants and I’m ok with smaller size portions. But Nelita took the downsizing to a next level, specially considering the price charged for some of the dishes. All in all, an excellent meal in a very interesting restaurant, but the prices of the menu are something that will make me think if I would be back soon. I believe there are many restaurants at the same level in town charging more reasonable prices for a similar experience. That is the only reason it won’t get...
Read morei have previously booked the restaurant and when i cancelled 23hrs before they took my booking money even i canceled the previous day, so even i told myself never to go into this restaurant, i went the other day after one of my girlfriend insisted
we were three, i had a descent meal which was good, but not crazy amazing, i had the octopus pasta. my poor friend was a VEGAN, and incredibly there was NO option on the menu, not even a simple pasta; in the end she had a tomate tartar and some veggies; but still when we requested to change a little the menu, the server said normally they can change for restriction but not vegan...... we were shocked; they said the chef was not there and there was nothing they can do. but it was too late to leave, they could have at least let us know in advance before going or some signs on the menu that no vegans food provided.d
my other friend had a green pasta, which she said was very disappointing.
the worst thing was, my vegan friend, who had just a tomato tartar, she didn't see the unlevel of the floor and fell on both her knees... and had a really bad cruises and pain from the swolleness, anyway, the waiter came with a name card of the manager and told us that we can contact the manager for any complaints.
anyway, at least now they will listen to me when i say a restaurant is over rated, expensive but with bad menu. could have gone moma or piu or any other next door restaurants. girls night...

Nelita is the kind of place that quietly redefines what a modern Italian restaurant can be. With its sleek, contemporary design and warm, understated elegance, it sets the stage for a dining experience that’s both refined and full of delightful surprises. We started with the Burrata, and it was a revelation. Creamy and delicate, it came paired with macadamia nuts, fresh tomato, and mint—a combination that was both refreshing and indulgent. The crunch of the nuts against the soft cheese, with the brightness of mint, made it a standout starter. Next came the Dim Sum with smoked aubergine—a bold, unexpected addition to the menu that worked beautifully. The smoky depth of the aubergine wrapped in delicate dim sum skin was a fusion moment that felt entirely at home here. But the star of the evening was the Pappardelle with octopus and spinach. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the octopus tender and flavorful, and the spinach added just the right touch of earthiness. It was rich, balanced, and utterly satisfying—a dish that lingers in your memory. Service was polished and friendly, and the wine list offered thoughtful pairings that complemented the menu beautifully.
Final thoughts: Nelita is a modern Italian gem that dares to be different—and succeeds. Whether you're a purist or an adventurer, this is a place that will surprise and...
