It’s a great choice for authentic tasting Korean, and good mostly because it stands fairly alone in Sao Paulo. It was the only one like this I could find, and is a nice escape from the usual. It would make a good destination once in a while.
The bibimbap was quite good, as were the starter dishes which I was happily surprised to receive. You need them, since the portions are quite small, despite being delicious.
I was surprised at the prices, which might be why it was fairly empty. A huge feijoada nearby is only 60 but the the tiny bibimbap was 75 - just rice and some small veggies/meat and an egg. I also wanted dokboki, but it was 75 too. That is extortionate for some rice noodles in sauce - a simple...
Read moreI loved this place, I was in the mood for Korean food and they did not disappoint. One thing I would change is that they would make it more authentic with the seasoning. Ojingo Bokkeum is usually MUCH more seasoned and tossed with a lot of gochujang. This had precious little sauce, and I suspect was tailored to the needs of the Brazilian market. Decor is great, it's on a quiet but central street, service lovely, and they even had my favourite raspberry wine Bokbunja-ju, which is hard to find outside of Korea.
