I don’t usually leave reviews but this time I felt compelled to. Just left the restaurant after one of the worst meals in memory.
The place is very cozy, well decorated restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately everything else is grossly subpar.
The service was lacking in every aspect, particularly considering it was a Thursday dinner and the place had empty tables. It took us 25 minutes to get the menu, and another 50 minutes between ordering and the first course. Had to repeatedly wave the staff to get water, drinks, and to order.
But the real disappointment was the food. The first course that took 50 minutes was a decent-enough pasta alle vongole. Not bad but also not worth r$152.
My wife’s filletto di manzo was bland and unseasoned, and the asparagus was overcooked. At least the foie gras was well-portioned. Again not worth r$249.
The worst of all was the quaglia com mini gnocchi. Dead ringer for a turkey TV dinner. Bland, dry, horribly overcooked. I felt bad for the poor quail to end up in such an atrocious dish.
And the staff didn’t once ask why I only took two bites of the plate.
In a city with so many great Italian options, this place has no business staying...

Outra boa escolha é o Capretto al forno (R$195,00).
Vale a passagem.

Read moreThis place is very picturesque. The food is of good quality but slightly overpriced. I had the polenta and the duck ragú tagliatelle, both were nice but the ragú was slightly salty.
The service was very friendly and polite and the menu has a lot of different choices. One thing that caught my attention is that both the lasagna and the tiramisu are served horizontally which I found hard to justify.
Overall I would recommend this place for its sophisticated atmosphere, but the food could...
