Sofra — Restaurant in Plovdiv

Came here for lunch around 230pm and ordered the sour lamb soup as well as a Chicken Shish plate.

Food was great. I like the taste of the spiced BBQ chicken, quite different from other foods I tried. Loved the sour taste of the creamy soup as well. There are a wide variety of sweets as well but I didn't take them as I was too full. They looked tasty though.

Service rating is average of 2 different attendants. I asked for WiFi. One of them, slightly older male, just nonchalantly told me it was not working and walked off. After that he did not bother at all. The other one, a younger guy with many facial hair, was great. He was attentive and also helped me with the WiFi.

The service is very bad at taking orders. I asked for lamb shish without lavash and rice instead of bulgur. They brought a meal with bulgur and lavash, I asked them to replace bulgur with rice, which they did. The food was mediocre, for the price I would expect bigger portion. My friend ordered Tarator and sarmi, but got tsatsiki and the sarmi was cold and didn't taste good. Good service. Great atmosphere, especially when you're sitting outside. It's very cozy. There is a place to wash your hands but no toilet to use. The food is good, but not great. The chicken is well cooked and moist. The salad sides are lacking in tomato, two wedges is not enough as the meal is dry overall. The bulgar salad is mediocre, not flavorful.
