I hope this review is not removed. I'm going to post a couple photos, but know if you don't see them, it's because they got removed.
The food here is a 4, the one thing I would change is to not oversalt everything so much. The meat and fries are very flavorful without so much salt. The pita is ok, could be tastier. The portion and price is also very good, I think it was 5.10 leva for one gyro.
The service is horrible. The first time the young brunette woman took my money, but didn't give me change, she went to go help other customers. Then last time I asked the young guy to get fries without salt. He said ok and then proceeded to give me the very last of the salty older fries and began making new fries for the next customer. He also didn't give me any sauce in my gyro. Normally tzatziki sauce is automatic or they ask you, he didn't ask me anything, he didn't say anything, it was odd. I came back asking for sauce. He stared at me and then went to the next customer. It was so weird! Literally I stood there while he and the curly blond woman ignored me. Finally she gave me some attention and I politely asked for sauce. She scolded me for ordering wrong. She then tried to shame me by pointing to another customer who ordered correctly. She offered me ketchup, mayo or mustard on a gyro. I repeated I expected the tzatziki sauce. She said it goes on the bottom not the top. I said, but I don't have any on the bottom :( She then unhappily put a blob on top and I was on my way. We will...
Read moreThe worst experience I had in Sofia, and honestly I was moments away from calling the police because of the disgusting behavior of one of the men who work at this place. Last night, I went to get a gyro and asked him in fluent English and Serbian, just in case, that I wanted a gyro without anything spicy and without ketchup. He brought me a gyro drenched in ketchup, and I returned it. The guy then threw it into the trash can so fast and hard, visibly terribly annoyed, that the gyro scattered everywhere, and he started nervously making a new one. Then he started talking about me in Bulgarian, and since I understand everything, I responded in Serbian because the languages are similar. Then he began to insult me, saying I should learn how to speak, that it wasn't his problem that I was incompetent and couldn't order food properly, that I lied about not wanting ketchup, that I should get out of the place. He threw the second gyro into my hands and mocked me. Disgusting, awful behavior, and he should be glad I didn't call the police but just walked away from the idiot. There are no words to describe how scared I was of his crazy behavior and how humiliated and insulted I felt just because I didn't want ketchup on my...
Read morePositives. Good location. Clean looking. Impression of good quality.
Negatives: The gentleman preparing the food in the food preparation boxes repeatedly eats the salads from those boxes using the same plastic forks. He also takes large bites, immersing the fork fully on his own saliva and contaminating the food which the customers receive.
The same gentleman uses the catering knives to cut and prepare his cigarette roll ups on the food preparation surfaces.
He then proceeded outside to smoke, standing right by the window and talking to his colleagues inside, leading to all of the smoke being directly blown into the restaurant, and the customer's faces.
The chicken used in the kebab is of the poorest quality, and extremely salty. The food is cheap, but so is the quality. I threw the sandwich away as it was blatantly bad for my health due to high salt content and dirty...
