Divaka — Restaurant in Sofia City

We visited this restaurant on 01.01.19 and I would definitely not recommend anyone to eat there. Here are the reasons: Re the service : the waitress was totally rude and unprofessional. She wasn't talking to us at all and she was just leaving the plates on the table. We told her happy new year and she didn't react at all. Then, we ordered 3 soups that she never brought them to us, althought we reminded her twice. Nevertheless, these soups were charged and only when we mentioned that, the waitress removed them from the bill. Re the food: Very bad and not tasty. The risotto was just burned rice, the salad was not fresh and the carbonara was just Spaghetti with milk. The stomackacke was so intense that we needed soda drink to recover. We also shared our experience with some interested clients outside the restaurant.

We came here for dinner as it was around the corner from the hotel. As there was no space in the main dining area, we were asked to go outside and into the basement area.

The waitress was friendly and could provide us with English menus. The food was very quick. I ordered the quinoa salad and it was literally only half quinoa and half parsley, even though the menu says quinoa tabbouleh (parsley, quinoa, red onion and cherry tomatoes). There were a few red onion pieces and literally one cherry tomato, but whatever, it was still ok.

My partner received their meal before mine and also finished before I received mine. I guess the kitchen was a bit stressed due to the amount of guests. I ordered the “beef meatball.” It was ok, not of the best quality meat.

The prices here are definitely of a typical restaurant (not a tourist trap) and the portions are not ridiculously huge. You can also...

We get to the restaurant at 10.30pm and they told us that kitchen was closing at 12.00. After ordering, and getting 1st dishes, we spent 30 minutes more waiting to get our empty dishes removed. Even a waitress came and we asked her to remove and bring the last dish remaining she told 'one second' and then she left. 30 minutes after, another waitress came and removed the dishes while we asked again for the second dish. Sad. The kitchen was closed. We couldn't even get our second, neither desert. We didn't even hear any apology. She was blaming us that she already said that kitchen had to close at 12.00 but we had to wait for more than 1 hour without eating or getting attendeds. The waitress was the blonde one.
