I came to this restaurant after seeing it had several vegan options. I was approached by 3 different waiters which made the service quite confusing. I asked for the Shakshuka since it had no dairy (allergy). When the food came there was cheese on top of the shakshuka. I asked nicely about not wanting the cheese in the food and apologised for the inconvenience and the waiter (which I think is the owner) said she could not change it as I should have told her first that I didn't want cheese. When I said it was an allergy requirement and that actually it was not written on the menu (I even checked after so as not to be rude) that there was cheese in the dish she took the plate away in a rude way and came back with another one without cheese which she just dropped on my table with disdain without apologising or saying anything. I found this upsetting and it completely ruined the experience for me. She was even present when I paid and just ignored me and never apologized. The other waiters seem to be nice though. Personally I also think all dishes could easily be made fully vegan and it's confusing that some dishes like the one called "vegan pizza" have animal cheese (only vegan sausage) by default and one must ask for the vegan cheese instead. The food was tasteless, the portions were also really small and I had a strawberry pie for dessert which tasted only of yoghurt. Definitely too expensive for what they offer. I would not recommend if you have dietary restrictions because they don’t seem to...
Read moreThis seems a tourist trap and I will not recommend it to foreigners. We were a group of internationals and they tried to take advantage of the fact we don't understand much to bring us different food from the one we ordered. We came here because of the advertised variety of food and special dishes we saw on the menu. From the beginning, they seemed to suggest to order different things than what was in their menu, food that seemed very common and not appealing, like potatoes and tomato sauce. We refused and went on with our order and they brought us just potatoes with sauce claiming it was curry with rice or some pita dish... That is unacceptable, view that some people have food allergies and we need to know what we eat. We refused the food and they finally told us that what we ordered is not available anymore and the kitchen will close. So we end up hungry at 10pm after one hour of waiting and arguing with the staff. They could have been transparent from the beginning and communicate they don't have what's in the menu... I've never experienced such disrespectful behavior to the clients. Would not...
Read moreTwo completely different experiences on our two separate visits here. Let's start with the food - it's amazing. The mushroom pizza and vegan sausage pizza are both very tasty and highly recommended. Now the service. Our first visit was on a Thursday night and we was told we couldn't sit outside (table service) as the table we sat at was reserved. This was not a problem so we moved indoors and went upstairs where it is self service only. Upon ordering you are given a buzzer for when the food and drinks are ready. We waited ages for the drinks and when the buzzer it was our food only. I queried the drinks and was told I should have helped myself from the fridge when I ordered them!! The staff this night seemed like they didn't care at all. Because the food was so good we decided to try again on the Sunday night and were so glad we did. Completely different staff and a great experience. Again we went upstairs for self service but this time we felt valued as customers and not a burden like the time before. All in all great food but it might be hit and miss depending what...
