I have come to this Korean restaurant for several times already. Anyway the time I want to criticise some point. . *Personal dislikes: Personally, when I first come here, this place make me feel prime. Anyway the time, I bring friends here and it is disappointing so much. The service is really bad. I can't feel the prime like I used to. They show they don't really want to continue us the free sided dish. As you know the Korean restaurant normally provide the sided dishes for free for the whole meal. And it does when I come first time. And they even don't give us more on some dish. The service person were having bad reactions, bad words... Excludes the supervisor. He is good. #Note: please look on this again. I really have a bad experience this time. And I won't come to this place again.
*Personal likes: the food is good. The price is a bit high but I...
Read moreService was a little non existence. Maybe because i couldn't speak Khmer. We ordered the army stew. It tasted as if it is adjusted for Cambodian maybe. Not flavourful, not spicy enough, kind of watery. The rice served is definitely short grain calrose low quality rice. The rice texture is slimy and soft, as if it has not been rinsed. And too much water added. I cook nagiita rice at home, so the rice quality at Jaru is really not acceptable for "korean" standard. Overall even the army stew in singapore's MOM foodcourt is tastier than the one in Jaru. Of all the korean food (higher end and lower end, food court style and korean chef style), Jaru serves a lower quality of "korean" food. Unfortunately even down to its pickled spinach, and kim chi. Its no where near authentic korean food. The service of the staff also gives the palate a sour...
Read moreWarning!!! Check your change money! I’m an expat from the US here in Cambodia for NGO work. On March 4, I went to Jaru Restaurant (a Korean restaurant) in BKK Phnom Penh and paid with a $100 bill and received changes composed of $50, $20, $1, and some riel. I realized that my $50 was a counterfeit money the next day when I was in Mondulkiri. Upon my return to Phnom Penh, I notified Jaru Restaurant of this incident but the owner claims that it is my fault for not checking my changes and will not take responsibility. I’m sure there are others who have experienced receiving counterfeit money as part of their changes. Please spread the word that everyone should be vigilant about checking their...
