Disappointing First Visit – Not Worth the Hype

I’d been wanting to try this place for ages, but when I finally made it, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. I arrived around 9:50 AM on a Sunday — pretty standard breakfast time, right? To my surprise, the entire café was being handled by just one staff member. We were completely unattended and not welcomed at all.

I get it — the lone staff was clearly overwhelmed, juggling drink orders, taking orders at the counter, and running food to tables. But seriously, what was the management thinking, scheduling just one person during peak breakfast hours?

Eventually, another staff member showed up. I was ready to place my order and try a few dishes I had been looking forward to — only to be told they were only serving a limited menu in the morning. Why wasn’t that stated anywhere on the menu?

At that point, I seriously considered leaving and heading to my usual breakfast spot, but since I was already there, I decided to give it a shot anyway — although my appetite was already off. I ended up ordering three items: the steak sandwich, Spanish omelet, and minced pork rice. Sadly, everything tasted like it had just been reheated in the oven.

I honestly don’t understand where all the rave reviews are coming from — is everyone really okay with microwave-level food? This place completely spoiled my Sunday morning. I definitely won’t be...

The location and the entire place are absolutely an upgrade from the previous one. However, the mechanism of service has changed. You are required to order and pay directly at the counter before they bring you any food. That is new but I don't mind. What I mind is the fact that the customer service here is almost nonexistent. There's quite a number servers available and they didn't seem busy at all, yet they're so unwilling to help out the incoming customers. They wouldn't give any menu or inform the customer of the new ordering mechanism. They wouldn't even clean the table until I asked. And sure, they cleared out the dishes from the table when I asked but they didn't bother to clean up the watery stains on the table, which made the table look dirty. I ended up cleaning it myself with the tissues. The food is okay. Same as the previous one. There's a few new menu items. I ordered a few dishes and drinks (about 10 small items) and the total was almost 30usd. Pricey as always. I'm not sure if I wanna come here again. A bit disappointed with the unhelpful...

We were looking forward to coming here, modern cafe/restaurant with tapas-style menu and breakfast. Decor is nice.

We were given menus and left for almost 10 minutes, unsure whether we order at the table or at the register so we went to the register since we didn’t want to wait any longer.

Cuban sandwich was very tasty (really small though - we each got one expecting a full dish but it was one sandwich cut in two which makes it strange to think that they would go to the trouble of making a whole sandwich for one order only to serve half, but anyway) Meat croquettes were nice Fries are average, again a small portion Pizzas are disappointing, you can’t expect miracles paying 2$ but you at least expect that the ingredients you ask for are actually on the pizza. The “sausage” pizza had just 2 1x1cm pieces of sausage and that was it. We brought this to the attention of a waitress to confirm that the correct pizza was ordered, she brought another colleague over who laughed, rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything to us.
