This is a beautifully designed space, with the now very common polished concrete and wood look, used in every new establishment these days... But, it has to be said, it looks nice...
What I really did not like was the system they use to order stuff.
When you walk in, there is no indication anywhere that you have to go and order yourself at the counter...
So, I walked in, sat down, and waited... I was also waiting for my friend to arrive, but for about 15 minutes, nobody paid me any attention... They could have at least explained to me I was expected to order myself...
So, my friend arrives, and we call a waitress... 'Oh sorry, you have to order over there...'
OK... We get up and walk to the counter... Here also, a new trend in all new places, the menu is on a tablet... Very good... Problem was, there appeared to be only 1 tablet available... Maybe they were too expensive to buy... In any case, I had to wait to be able to look at the menu...
When we finished our order, "now, please go sit sir"... And of course, you guessed it, our seats had been taken by another party...
So, we had to look for somewhere else to sit...
Just tedious and boring...
Another thing that really annoyed me is the fact that when you order food and drinks, you should not expect to actually get your drinks... No no no, you have to wait for them to cook the food first...
Then, some poor staff member has to start walking around the place, hoping he or she will find you... These poor people have no clear idea where you are sitting... And it's a big place...
When she finally found us, I had been in the place for about 40 minutes, my friend for 20...
And its only when your food has been delivered that they start making your drinks... It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, which were, of course, brought out by another waitress who had no clue where we could possibly be sitting, who could blame her??
So, after 50 minutes, I had my Quarto in my hands...
Do you think I'm going there again??? :) :)
Not in a million...
