I came by for lunch on Black Friday and don't know what to think of it as it was my first experience, but it seems like a neutral overall rating would indicate that others have an earful to tell.
I got "the usual," BBQ chicken with green beans and glass noodles as the 2 sides.
For starters, I couldn't figure out why the server grabbed 3 separate small hand fulls of noodles when she could have grabbed 1 big handful and be done with it in 0.2 seconds instead of wasting time? It was like she was trying to pack them into the container in a certain way, like Tetris. I was baffled...
As for the food itself:
The glass noodles were overcooked, broken into bits, soggy and had no flavor to it. They were also lacking the sesame seeds that other locations put into it.
The green beans were the shorter, brighter NEON GREEN variety with the tough outer skin. Which I was not pleased with since I had to spit it out at the end of every bite. I think that is just a supplier problem as this isn't anything new to me, unfortunately.
The chicken seemed tough, stringy and chewy. Maybe it was old, but I prefer old and chewy over half cooked. At least old and chewy is actually edible, lol.
But the one thing that caught me off guard is the fact they offered "teriyaki sauce" instead of the standard BBQ sauce. I didn't know what to think of that, except questionable at best. The so called teriyaki sauce was practically non existent in both color and flavor. I had to leave half of my rice and scoop it into another container of food (from a different vendor) that I ordered to take home with me for dinner.
Overall, the lunch was terrible and I don't see myself returning.
I wasn't trying to criticize too harshly since this was my first experience. But it wasn't a good one, so it left me with a bad first impression.
It seems like I will only be going to the Sunridge location for my grilled chicken cravings, as that is the only location in the city that is fully...
Read moreThis location at cross Iron mills are forced to be friendly and also crooks. Today (April 20, 2017) we bought 2 #3 and korean fries for lunch and a fountain pop. We paid for about $40.00 for the total. The disappointment started when the cashier didn’t finish loading up the plate of what we want for veggies and to think this is the last veggie she has to put in the second plate because she saw a customer which this customer didn’t even decide what to get. We like korean foods and we don’t mind paying for atleast we get what we expect but this one is un acceptable. When we received our foods our reaction was disappointment 😡😡😡. Imagine 2 scoops of rice, 2 kinds of veggies (small portion) and a pc of chiken thigh and a very tiny pc of beef for $12.75!!!???? Come on folks... That’s a ripped off!!! You want to get more money and making customers unhappy? We deserved to be happy for we are customers and if it’s not because of us then you don’t have livelihood by now. The next time we visit, bourbon grill here we come!!! The one beside your spot Koryo. Never again to you Koryo and I will tell my friends as well so you don’t get business...
Read moreAvoid this place. It is expensive and the food is NOT fresh and it tastes terrible. Who would of thought that reading google reviews ahead of time in a food court would be critical?? I regret not reading them because the negative comments are a blatant warning to stay away. We ordered three beef meals. They stacked half the plate with stale rice and between the three of us, we had broccoli, glass noodles, garlic potatoes and green beans as sides. Every single side was stone cold as if they were leftovers taken out of the fridge and served directly to us. Even more maddening, the disgustingly chewy beef was also cold! It appeared the meat came off the grill but clearly the grill was NOT turned on because the meat was COLD!! Complete regrets that we ordered from here….huge waste of $55 because the meals were not edible and we should have walked another 12 feet and chosen another business for a hot meal. There is a serious issue when negative complaints have been consistently shared for years and nothing changes. It will only be a matter of time before a public health report is issued for...
