If you're looking for a cute little ice cream shop in Canmore to beat the heat, I highly recommend checking out the Scoopin' Moose!

The staff here is incredibly efficient, making sure you get your icy treat in no time, despite the crowd. We tried a couple of flavors and let me tell you, the "Shark attack" flavor was absolutely delightful! It had the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess.

We visited this place on a scorching hot day, and this place was a lifesaver. The ice cream was not only tasty but also a nice way to cool ourselves down. The shop itself has a cozy vibe, with a chalk on blackboard interiors that adds to the overall experience.

So, if you're in the mood for some scrumptious ice cream and want to escape the summer heat, head over to this adorable ice cream shop. With its good variety of flavors, everyone will find something...

Was there today and the staff weren’t wearing masks to serve the food, they WERE NOT WEARING GLOVES to handle the cones or ice cream and the man that jumped on to help move the line HAD DIRTY HANDs AND FINGER NAILS! It was DISGUSTING ! They looked like he was working on a car then came in to scoop ice cream. I am appalled and shocked to find that. I understand it was busy but if you’re going to have dirty hands wear gloves. We usually go and there’s no issues but now I’m Definitely not going to go back ever. Also it was more like ICED MILK not ice cream, definitely not worth the price for a thin waffle cone that broke as he scooped it and thin ice cream that really was not good. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND...

Let me start off by saying this: I eat A LOT of ice cream. I am on a hunt for the best ice cream. I have my favourite flavours at every location within a 15 km radius of my home. However, the Scoopin Moose's Lemon Pie ice cream is EASILY one of my favourite ice creams that I have EVER had. The lemon flavour is present without being too tart or too sweet, and the chunks of pie crust throughout the ice cream are flaky, buttery, and everything you'd expect from Grandma's lemon meringue pie. I dream about this ice cream. I've driven out to Canmore on a Sunday just to have this ice cream for breakfast. Not to mention the waffle cones here are awesome. Splurge, get the dipped cones. It's...

The only real issue I had is the line seems backwards. You can't get a good look AT the icecream if it is crowded. Although the menu describes the flavors, this does seem weird. They do have a lot of flavors (most of which are good and you can see them on the pictures of the menu) and their scoops are about the size of a tennis ball or slightly bigger. They have all sorts of deluxe dipped waffle cones which add some nice variety. I would ideally give them a 4.5 star but 4 star is where I'm leaving it due to the line issues.

One of two ice cream places in canmore it seems, with the other one being seasonal (hence closed majority of the time). Expect line ups but usually moves pretty quick. Flavours are limited but still rather good options. Kids tend to go for bubble gum the most. The ice cream is fairly soft and they give it in large scoops. Theres also a variety of cones (with costs associated with it). Double scoops go for $7, single $4.85, kids $3. The floats use grizzly paw soda.
