It was very disappointing to walk into a fast food chain and see absolutely zero diversity. We live in Canada. I wanna see other races working behind the register or making the food.
The south Asian people speaking their native language while other none Indian people are working. Is illegal. If you’re in Canada. Speak the language. If I moved to India.. I’d have to adapt and learn your language.
Where is the cleanliness? No hair nets or beard nets. No gloves while making food. We have food guidelines and standards for cleanliness in this country. Uphold it. Respect the rules that were place before you immigrated here.
It’s disrespectful for Alina to work at a restaurant where she can’t understand what her coworkers are saying to one another in their native tongue. From my understanding it’s illegal to speak a language not everyone else understands.
Third party hiring needs to happen. It’s unfair for none Indians looking for work and being overlooked by management. Managers need to manage.. not be in charge of hiring.
Check the cameras.
Alina was clocking in while I ordered my food & the way her coworker spoke to her was extremely concerning for me. She was spoken to like she was a slave that worked for the staff. I felt bad a the fact That she has to be here for god knows how long.. with people who don’t see her as equal. Who speak their native tongue around her fully knowing she doesn’t understand. Must be a lovely 8...
Read moreLiterally waited at the order box for almost 10 minutes with no cars in front of us to order. Then when we pulled up, we waited 20 mins at the drive through window, with no acknowledgment of us even being there .... the staff at the window didn't offer any apology for the wait and she was very unfriendly when the debit machine wasn't responding. We politely asked if they were low on staff to see if that was the cause of the delay, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. We were told No, that they just got too busy inside to handle our order at the drive through. When we finally got our order, again with no apology after our inquiry, the grilled chicken was ice cold, rock hard, and looked as if it had been sitting around all day under the heat lamps, our onion rings were soggy and barely cooked through, and they forgot our dipping sauces for the chicken strips. We brought our order inside to speak to the manager, but again were told that it just was busy inside the restaurant (which it did not seem to be). There seemed to be a good amount of staff working, not a peak time (7:45pm)... but it just seemed very disorganized, and everyone behind the counter seemed very confused. All in all, very disappointed at the lack of consideration and care.... will definitely...
Read moreAbsolute clown show at this location. I've had bad experiences with the Swiss Chalet but now Harvey's is following suit. I went through the drive-thru. There was one car ahead of me and none behind me. Not a busy time. Between the speaker and the window, they seemed to have forgotten I ordered 2 combos, which comes with 2 drinks. Not 1 drink. I got my iced tea and had to inquire about the diet Pepsi. After a minute, a different person (guy) came to the window and handed me a second iced tea. In a very condescending manner I was informed that since I touched it, I had to keep it. He disappeared, supposedly to get my diet Pepsi. He went to hand it to me and I asked if it was indeed diet Pepsi (I wasn't interested in a third iced tea). His response? "It's indicated as such." Because the tiny circle on the lid of the fountain drink that says "other" was pushed down. I said I don't care what's indicated, is there diet Pepsi in this cup? He repeats himself; "It's indicated as such." Super rude, very condescending. It seems as though no one in the entire building at this Swiss Chalet/Harvey's location has been trained in customer service. Nor are they very sharp. I'm done with this location. Not sure how they are getting any repeat customers, but I...
