By far the worst Chinese I ever had. Many items ordered and only 2 were tolerable, chicken balls and garlic broccoli. I will describe each item. Crispy beef; chewy, soggy and container was full of liquid. No way to be crispy. Sesame shrimp; just shrimp covered in sweet and sour sauce with untoasted seeds on top. Worst tasting shrimp ever. Sezchuan chicken; should be called clubhouse onions and peppers. Made with sauce from clubhouse with barely any chicken. No spice at all. Special fried rice; it was full of white rice clumps and looked like it was tossed in a bowl with a bag of frozen peas and carrots. Was not fried. But was edible. Pretty much white rice with veggies. Egg rolls; had a gross taste and could not have 1 bite. Fried shrimp dumpling; was just a fried wonton so 2 items on the menu are the same. I wouldn't be surprised if half the menu was like this. Plain fried noodle; was basically Mr noodles with no liquid. 1 large clump of starch. Absolutely disgusting.
If I didn't have it all served to the kids I would've drove it all back to the restaurant. I cannot understand how anyone could give this place a good review. Please do not consider this place. I should've stuck with the other mediocre places. I trusted the reviews....
Read moreWe've been looking for a "Go to Chinese" restaurant for a few years now since Covid, and forced our favourite place to go out of business. Well Lee's Kitchen is not it. This was the first time ordering, and unfortunately the last time. The egg rolls were over cooked and soggy and greasy. The chicken balls were extremely dry, so much that when you bit into them, the batter surrounding the immediate piece of chicken was almost powder texture. We also got the crispy beef. My first taste, I got the impression that something was off, until my husband said, it tasted like fish, then it dawned on me, that was the funny taste I tasted. I hope to God they don't fry their beef in the same oil as their fish!!!!! It was off putting. The also add egg to their fried rice, (which I didn't know until we opened it.) some people can't eat egg and it should be optional for egg or not. Unfortunately we will not order from...
Read moreExcellent Chinese food and wonderful lady at the counter that took my order. Bang for the buck this place nails it. Quality food...the honey garlic spare ribs have some good meat in the bone unlike many other places. Breaded shrimp are huge...lots of breading but still above the caliber of most. The meals combos are great value. Got the lemon chicken, beef and fried rice and a cpl ad ons for under 50 bucks...easily enough for 2or 3 people with leftovers for lunch the next day. As far as Chinese take out goes in Barrie, this is the best I have found by far.
Update: Another visit, another perfect dinner! After a horrendous snow day this was the perfect Netflix and chill feast:) Once again, the service was great, friendly and welcoming. Nice chat with the young man at the counter this time about one of my favorite things...movies:) Keep up the good work and I will certainly keep...
