BEST GREEK FOOD EVER!!! Highly recommend!

I have been here more than once and cannot recommend them enough. The staff is great; the food is delicious and will always make my mouth water.

Pros: • Staff (respectable, quick, kind, gracious, and always have recommendations) • Food portions are very generous (often taking half of the meal home) • Food is always served hot • Their Tzatziki sauce is to die for (even if you don’t eat it with my meal they will give you a container full of it to take home) • Their Dolmades (even though their meal portions are generous, I will always order the dolmades, the sauce is amazing) • Atmosphere (you feel like you’re part of the restaurants family) • Pricing (More than generous when it comes to the quality & quantity)

Cons: • None

My Experience: I went here for the first time with my boyfriend, he felt like Greek food and I wanted to try somewhere new since I found the other Greek restaurants I went to were lacking. This place was not lacking in anyway.

We were seated quickly, given recommendations from our waiter. We ordered the tzatziki with pita, dolmades, gyros, and kalamata chicken. The appetizer arrived quickly. Trying the tzatziki… I cannot bring to words how good it was but I knew from then on all other tzatziki I tasted would be lacking. I will always get tzatziki from here and nowhere else.

The dolmades steamed when you cut into them. I was a bit nervous about the sauce when I found out it was lemony (I always found lemon to be overpowering) but not at Mythos. The sauce was out of this world! As soon as it touched my tongue it was the perfect blend of lemon ( the lemon complimented the sauce, not overpowering at all). I will always be ordering this when I go. One word to describe it: Perfect.

Our main courses came when we were finished with our appetizers. I ordering the gyro was not disappointed the meat melted on my mouth. We tried each other’s dishes. The olive sauce on the kalamata chicken was amazing (I’m not even a huge fan of olives). We barely got through 10% of our main course before we were too full to continue. We took it home.

I have been here 3 times, brought friends & family who now can't resist going back. I cannot express enough how good this place is. If you’re looking for amazing food with the best quantity & quality,...

We had a reservation here almost a week in advance and arrived 230pm yesterday (Sunday April 7,2024). They imposed on us an alleged “un-announced baptism party” with approximately 10-15 screaming and crying infants as well as poorly behaved children running around the restaurant directly across from us. The parents, lacking any situational awareness also occupied the entrance with a stroller being pushed back and forth (blanketed to calm a distraught screaming infant). At the very minimum this is a fire code violation not to mention an egregious sense of entitlement. The bill for my table of five was very inexpensive for what was ordered however almost all of us had immediate GI reaction to the food (for which I had to walk across the street to Starbucks to address as the men’s room was disgusting). The food was aesthetically appealing however the plate my brother and I had (platter for two) included dried almost to a crisp gyro meat (some of it was crunchy), soggy calamari, and cold souvlaki. I had to ask the waitress for a drink menu, they only brought warm tap water to start, not even any ice. I am furious that the restaurant would allow other patrons to book a table during a children/infant baptism party. There were screaming infants, ill behaved children wandering around into our section and intrusive parents walking over to our table with their infants showcasing their offspring and disrupting us while we were trying to eat. The men’s room was wretched and over capacity from said party and their over indulgence’s resultant excretion. There is zero ventilation in the men’s room and only one stall. I will NEVER be back, I can’t believe they have such a good rating even despite the aforementioned overbooking. They should have booked the restaurant for a private event instead of having innocent paying customers booked during that ridiculous obnoxious “baptism party”. I have never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant EVER. A brief look into the kitchen on the way to the men’s room confirmed the cause of the GI issue. I do not recommend dining here, Johnny Greeko’s is a thousand times better than this dump. I definitely recommend Johnny Greeko’s instead, I have never had a problem there and their food is a thousand times...

This place used to be great pre the pandemic. The food was way better. Came back last night first time after the pandemic and was quite disappointed all around. It’s a nice place decor wise but small but that’s besides the point. The appetizer I usually get is the hummus because it was always so good and unique in its garlic taste that I always liked it a lot, but unfortunately it is no longe that same hummus, they do not make it the same way, that unique taste is gone. Obviously they are not using the same ingredients anymore and cutting some ingredients out. The rice with my gyros entree was way too dry, I almost choked on it as did my friend and we both said the rice was too dry. The gyro itself was good but there were no greens or grilled veggies with the meal just lemon flavoured potatoes with rice, so it was starch on starch with meat; noooo, def did not expect that.from a fine dining Greek restaurant; I know Jimmy the Greek serves potatoes and rice together but yea now this place, that was very disappointing. I did not eat half my entree. My cocktail was ok, but nothing very tasty, I’ve had way better Long Island iced teas. The famous and once delicious feta cheesecake they do not serve as they used to, this time it was not dressed up as it used to be when served on the plate and it makes a difference jn the flavour of the cheesecake itself. It was too sour and not sweet enough without the added honey. So again not using the ingredients as used before. The service was ok. Oh and you gotta tip at least 15% or more in this place. For the ok service I would have tipped less if...

It was one of those Sundays we were working all day outside, and along comes dinner time and we had absolutely no idea what to eat. After finding a lot of good reviews on this restaurant, we thought we’d give it a shot. Boy are we glad we did. We got the pasta for our kids and the Grecian for two for my wife and myself. The pasta arrived first. Had a small taste of the pasta, and it had a fresh tomatoey flavor. Kids enjoyed it, so it was a good sign. Our salads then arrive. We changed the Greek salad for the village salad. It was a healthy portion, with a big slab of feta on top. Fantastic Greek oregano flavor and nicely balanced olives. The capers were a nice touch. I could have eaten the while salad, but decided to sane some room for the main meal. I’m glad I did. The entree comes out on a big wooden platter, along with a side of potatoes and tzatziki. I was pleasantly shocked at the portion size. Meats were well grilled (charcoal no less) and juicy. We ended up bringing most of it home. We kept some room for dessert. We tried the baklava and the chocolate slice. Baklava was ok (would prefer the phyllo layers more crispy) though the honey and pistachio flavors came out well. The cake was dense, though not overpowering. The cookie crumbles in the cake lightened it up - very nice! Overall a fantastic experience. I looked forward to coming back and trying more items on their menu.

Few restaurants impress me, Mythos was one of the ones to do it, when I came here we decided to get the Grecian (Platter for Two) and add an additional person for $15 and what ended up coming was a huge platter of food that ending up feeding all of us for dinner and an additional three meals the next day. For me personally, the Gyros was the highlight of the dish, the next best part I feel was the Breaded Kalamari which is something I appreciate as I often taste overcooked rubber calamari which was not the case here. I ended up sampling all of the rest of the various components that made up the Grecian which the worst being the Sausage which was mostly flavorless in comparison to everything else. The rice was great, it was even better on day 2 and it made me want to come back here again but the prices are rather high for me to come as often as I wish I could. I'm happy I listened to my Aunt & Mothers recommendation to come here. I also have to take a minute to comment on the service, our waiter (whose name I forgot, younger gentleman) was very polite, he checked on us several times at good moments and made conversation that made the experience better, we were also visited by the owner/chef of the restaurant to make sure our meal was up to our/his standards which it was. I would highly recommend Mythos, :)
