📍Burro Tacos @Burlington, ON 🖤好食 (quality):😋😋😋😋😋 🤍環境 (environment): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🤎服務 (service): 💗💗💗💗💗 Are you ready for Taco Tuesday? I am always ready for some tacos and guacamole & chips! This place is a gem! It is located in Burlington and they serve tacos, cocktails and different appetizers! 😎Their menu is 100% gluten free and they have some vegan and vegetarian options on their menu too! 🥸Honestly, all their tacos are calling for me, they are flavours that you would not be able to find elsewhere. 🥰This time, I ordered… 🥑Guacamole & Chips ($11) 🥑 This is honestly the best guacamole and chips I have tried! 😋The guac was so refreshing and yummy! The guac was topped with green onions, pumpkin seed and picked jalapeño! 🥰Totally in love! Their chips were perfectly seasoned, it wasn’t very savoury and it was super crispy! It is a really good appetizer to share between two people before the main course! ☺️ 🌮The Achiote Chicken ($6)🌮 This taco has crispy chicken skin, cabbage, red onions, radish and topped with chipotle mayo sauce! 😙It was very refreshing and crispy! The server also gave me some hot sauce to add onto the tacos! What sparked me the most was their housemade hot sauce, it had a hint of pineapple and mango, making it more refreshing than it is. It is definitely worth a try! ☺️ 🌮The Spicy Cauliflower ($6)🌮 I absolutely love the cauliflower here, it’s so crispy and yummy with the smokey ancho mayo sauce! 😋There is also cabbage, sweet onion salsa, pickled jalapeño radish to make the taco more refreshing! 😙 They also have an outside patio, perfect for summer to enjoy some sunshine and tacos! Their service was also very efficient, thank you for the great hospitality and yummy food! 🤍

To put it simply Burro is the best restaurant in Burlington for tacos at the time of this review, On my first visit we were seated within minutes, had our drinks in another few minutes and selected a few tacos. This is where Burro impressed me, I've been cooking both as a hobby/profession for nearing a decade and most of the time when I eat food around Burlington (specifical tacos) they lack flavor and taste worse than if I had simply made them myself. Burro is different, the Tacos that I had (Classic / Achiote Chicken / Charred Broccoli & Summer Corn) all were delicious, my favorite was the Classic due to its cheaper price and overall flavor being above average in comparison to many things I have put in my mouth over the years. The Classic also threw me off because it tasted like there was a hot sauce on it but the hot sauce seemed to lack heat and was more of a sweet variant with a very very mild heat that wasn't present for the whole time I consumed the taco but hit me a few minutes later. The one thing I wished they had were entrees of ceviche, their ceviche offerings are limited to one dish that also happened to be a 'sampler' (as described by our waitress) which is a bit of a letdown as Burlington doesn't have many ceviche offerings. Their drinks seem pricey but they are also fairly strong if I had to guess I would put them at around 2oz of liquor which is a larger shot than the average for Burlington which I put around 1oz most places. Burro also has a great patio, tons of shade, a decent amount of space and it's in a cozy little section off to the side of the restaurant. I would highly recommend Burro to any taco lover, now all they need is Taco Tuesday!!

Were at Burro last night before a live music show which was nice as it was so close nearby. Very good food!! Fresh, flavourful and interesting and extensive drinks menu to try. Love the flights option. Personally as we were there very early (5:30/6), I just went with the WAP ~ Watermelon and Peach) Margarita which was a little too good, lol ~ had to order a second versus trying another flavour, which was also tempting. We tried the chorizo pork belly nachos to start, followed by brisket and fish tacos, achiote chicken and ground pork/beef tacos too (two tacos each) and all were delicious as well as generously portioned. Think tapas — you can mix and match and try as you go which is fun. We had time before our show so liked the aspect that there was so much on the menu that appealed to us to potentially choose from. Couldn’t pass up dessert, two great choices but as we were pretty full we opted on splitting the waffle churro which was amazing. There was a unique sugar cookie dessert with key lime mascarpone on the menu that sounded amazing too. Liked seeing an alternative second option alongside a churro option. Nice relaxed vibe and intimate atmosphere and attentive and friendly service, (Emma served our table). Will definitely be back to try the patio in summer! (The nachos were probably best ever sampled so hopefully they’ll still be a menu offering then…) Last thing I’ll say is the choice to eat out comes at a premium these days with everything being so expensive but we found the value and food was very reasonably priced. Recommend big time!

5 STAR 5 STAR 5 STARSSS Customer service is freakin amazzzzzing. We sat at the bar ..it was a wednesday after work hunger stop so we totally didnt expect to hve such an amazing time. Shout out to the best bartender in the game Grant. Definitel y going back just for his service. My boyfriend and I loooved him. He was super efficient and kept us company w small talk ...super cute super fun. When we paid our bill we found out ir was his first day on bar we were totally blown away.

Bathroom is super clean and cute. They have chalk and the walls are all chalk board so you can doodle.

We started with drinks...Im expecting so no alcohol for me. I had a Mexican soft drink pinapple flavour. We saw him making the sangria pitcher looked soooo good. We started w the nachos chorizo and cotija, loved it. Pretty filling but still had room for food. We both got two tacos. I got the classic, which is chicken and beef i believe. To be honest i felt like it was missing something. Second one was the fish taco, cant screw that up super tasty. The boyfriend got the beef cheek which he thoroughly enjoyed. But his favorite was the bourbon chicken , finger licking good. We ended the meal with the churro bite donuts w chocolate sauce (gluten free as is everything on the menu). My boyfriend scarfed them down lol but i didnt like them to much. Its crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It comes w a side of homemade whip cream, which is thick n delicious.

Conclusion we will def be back the atmosphere is dope and so is the service. Food is great and made w love. I definitely wanna try the other menu items, especially the fish taquitos.

P.s i just found out theyre under the same management as the mule in Hamilton insert jaw drop here...the...

Tried eating at Burro today for the first time and were met with utter disrespect from the apparent manager. We arrived around 12:30pm, a group of two and a baby stroller. The restaurant was pretty empty. One of the larger tables on the right hand side of the restaurant was vacant as well as all of the high top tables on the left hand side. The hostess was very pleasant and seemed new to the job. She said she had to check with the manager to see if they could accommodate the stroller. After speaking to the manager, we were refused service!! Completely shocked (since the place was half empty) we asked if it was possible to push over one of the high top tables slightly and we would tuck the stroller in that spot. The hostess said she had to check with the manager again. We witnessed the conversation taking place about our table and the manager was completely annoyed and angry...standing with her and on her hip with a face full of attitude, huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes as she reluctantly shifted over one of the tables, which took a matter of seconds to do. She also had to prove a point by taking the menu which appeared to be attached to a clipboard and slam in on the the table as hard as she could...with one last eye roll, of course. I guess that was a way to let us know what a huge inconvenience we were to her. Not only did this make us feel so unwanted and uncomfortable, it also showed other patrons (the majority, if not all of the people in there witnessed what happened) that common courtesy and basic respect and severely lacking. I told the hostess how uncomfortable we were made to feel and we left. The food may be good (I’ll never know), but service above all else, always...
