Pizza Art- BURNABY — Restaurant in Burnaby

Won't be coming back here anymore.

Show up to pickup my online order and give my name and exactly which pizzas I ordered so that the person knows I am here and what I am waiting for.

I was only a few minutes early from the pickup time and was told to wait 10 more minutes. I wait 10 more minutes and nothing ready yet, that's fine the person who was there before me is still waiting as well.

Finally it's 20 minutes now and the person ahead of me gets their order, okay so I think I'm up next. Nope, a few more people walk in and make orders, get takeout, pickup their pizzas.... OK so now there's nobody waiting at the till and just 2 other people besides me waiting inside as the server is non-nonchalantly working.

With it being dead quiet now, I go up to the server and ask what is going on and I've been standing in front of them for almost 30 minutes now. The server goes into a mixed stack of filled and empty pizza boxes, fishing open each one and checking. Pulls them from the pile and places 2 boxes on the back counter, does something else, then picks up the 2 boxes and then indirectly gives them to me without saying a word or even sparing a glance at me.

Usually don't leave reviews but after tonight's situation I feel like I should. Ordered their 5 medium pizza deal via their online system. Arrive 40 minutes later and I'm being told it will take another 30 minutes due to tonight being busy. I understand that it was a friday night and the restaurant can be busy but, how am I supposed to know that? I cancelled my order due to the fact that I had my hungry child in the car and had to figure out something fast to feed her. To top it off the "fellow" in the back told his co-worker as I was walking out the door that I should have called to see how long the order will take. I didn't know it was my responsibility to call and check after I had placed my order. Usually restaurants let you know when to pick up. I opted to order from pizza station in port moody and within 3 minutes, the wife had a call from an employee confirming our order and providing an eta. Sad part is that service and food has always been top notch prior to this. Will not return here nor will I refer people to...
