We stopped by Chaihong for lunch today during our Calgary stay, and this was probably the best restaurant Korean food we've had in a while. We ordered: [1] Jajangmyeon, [2] Saewoo Bokkembap (seafood fried rice), [3] Tangsooyuk (fried pork with sweet and sour sauce), and [4] the lunch special (seafood fried rice, mapo tofu, and fried chicken). The food was absolutely delicious, especially the generous servings of Jajangmyeon sauce that accompanied the fried rice and noodle dishes. The fry on the pork was light and crispy without being overly dense, doughy, or oily; and the accopmanying sauce gave the dish the feel of Korean version of Chinese sweet and sour pork. In all - the food just came out quickly, was fresh, and super tasty. On top of that, the staff working at Chaihong was very friendly and accommodating.

This is the first time that we try this restaurant. As it is korean food which is my favourite, it did not disappointed us. The chicken was super delicious! The best chicken that i ever had in Calgary! The pork was also very satisfying but we were talking too much and it got cold so make sure u eat while it is hot to get full flavour! The tofu dish was also pretty good. The service was also very attentive. Over all, 9.5 out of 10! You should definitely go try it!

This place offers great value for its selection. We ordered the 36 Combo, which included Kkanpunggi, Jajangmyeon, and Jjambbong—more than enough for three people. Their Mapo Tofu Deopbap is really good and tastes quite different from the Chinese style that I'm used to. The restaurant was pretty busy when we went (6 PM–8 PM), with lots of people waiting outside in the plaza. The restaurant itself is very cozy, making it a perfect spot for date nights.
