Denny's Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

Leaving Denny's now and this server, Lacey Kath is absolutely appalling. She has NO BUSINESS being in the food industry. She did SO MANY inappropriate things, including yelling our disagreement to the cooks for the entire restaurant to hear. She has zero accountability and blames me, the cooks, but refuses to accept responsibility for her actions. She then argued, again very loudly with me, and stormed off to ask the cooks, "If she is a mean person." All for every customer to hear.

Sufficed to say, I very much welcome Sandi or Julie or any other manager to contact me. Regardless, I will definitely be contacting the restaurant in the morning to speak with the general manager. I'm told there is video footage, and that's terrific. I encouraged all managers to watch her ignore me and subsequently two others,when I entered the establishment and how it took off from there. I've been a server for over 30 years, and this gal was the WORST I have ever seen!!!

Update: I spoke with the general manager this morning. He was a very pleasant, professional man, however, feels that likely she will only get a written warning This allows for her to humiliate, argue with, demean, and lie to many more potential Denny's customers. Not me, as I informed the GM that while staff like that are employed at Denny's, I won't be a customer. He graciously offered us 2 complimentary meal tickets that I did not accept.

I'm convinced she wouldn't have behaved this way had there been a supervisor or manager on-site. She behaved like an entitled "Karen," and she should be fired as that's the only way to be sure it won't ever...

Denny's has always been a classic spot for either breakfast or those late-night eats, especially memorable from my teenage years after concerts. While I miss the "Hooburrito" from those days, it's the memories that keep bringing me back. On my latest visit, I ordered the All American Slam. I'm particular about my hash browns; I like them cubed and extra crispy, and Denny’s nailed it perfectly. They were fresh and so hot that I found myself doing that quick breath-in and out thing to avoid spitting them out—a testament to their freshness. The crispy bacon was another highlight, cooked just the way I like it. The scrambled eggs with cheese were surprisingly enjoyable, even though I'm usually not a fan. However, there were a few downsides: the toast was over-toasted, losing that fresh, warm quality I crave. The sausage was just okay, not cold but not hot either, much like the eggs, which didn’t have that fresh-from-the-kitchen feel except for the hash browns. Despite these few negatives, the service at Denny's was top-notch. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick—from sitting down to getting my food, everything moved swiftly. The restaurant was clean and quiet at 7:00 AM, making for a peaceful breakfast environment. We went on this restaurant yesterday afternoon. this wasn't our first time in this restaurant. We were politely seated by a nice lady. after seating looking at menu's I noticed one employee staring at me and texting as if he is reporting to someone. He went to the staff area near where they sat us down and talking to couple of employees employees. The white man stood where the post directly infront of of where I was sitting staring at my face/eyes as if I was filthy/dirty to eat at their restaurant. I made sure I had a shower changed before we went out yesterday. They singled me out as I did not see them staring at other customers. I am an Asian so perhaps I am not allowed to be in their restaurant. The first employee that I noticed staring at me and texting someone I believe and Indian and another one plus a white man. am not making it up and if there a surveillance camera around the restaurant, it would have been recorded. i am clean not doing anything wrong so it was upsetting so I got up and asked the server if we can take out the food we ordered instead so I got up and left. My bf stayed and waited for the food. They should not be discriminating to whoever is going in...
