I normally never take time out of my day to write reviews, but I went here today and the experience I had was insane. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty except for delivery drivers waiting for orders. I said I wanted to order take out so they sat me at a table with a menu. I went to the counter and told them what I wanted. I ordered 2 different rolls and 4 pieces sushi. I waited almost 30 minutes to get my order. When I left and was about half a block away, I looked in the bag and realized they didn’t put in the 4 pieces of sushi so I walked back. When I told them, it was then discovered the lady didn’t even enter it on the order in the first place. The gentleman apologized and asked what I wanted so I told him. He repeated the order back to me 3 or 4 times and each time printed out a receipt to charge me on the debit machine around the corner. Every time he was wrong. So I said it again, and again, and again…. I 4 pieces of salmon sushi…. He could not seem to get right what I was saying I wanted. Finally on the 5th try he rings up the order again and prints a receipt and hands me the debit machine and it was 4x the price I would expect. I looked at the receipt and yet again, he entered the order wrong and was charging me for 8 pieces. I told him it still wasn’t right. I then spoke up and said it’s ridiculous I’ve been here over a half an hour, left and came back, and I still don’t have what I ordered and every time I tell you what I want you can’t seem to get it right, I don’t know how to be any clearer with what I’m trying to order. He apologized and said they were super busy and in a rush… I said there was no one else in the entire restaurant but me. He replied that they were busy with Uber eats orders. I told him I find it insulting that they would excuse their poor service and continuous mistakes due to online orders for people who aren’t even here, when I’m standing right in front of him and had been sitting in the restaurant for 30 mins and I just want the rest of my order so I can leave. He finally got the order right (still charged me full price for everything, never offered to comp anything or even throw in an extra piece, nothing…) and he had the kitchen staff make it quickly. After I got back to my hotel, I realized they didn’t even put in napkins or chopsticks, even though they asked me if I wanted them and I said yes. I ate with my fingers. I was honestly so frustrated from the whole experience I felt like not eating it at all, but I was starving. Will never...
Read moreLet's talk about fusion sushi on 5th. This might have been the worst sushi experience I've had in the last 10 years.
The service here is beyond questionable. Their staff really seemed like they didn't care whatsoever. Our food came out at a reasonable pace only to be tossed carelessly on the table. We were polite and thanked them each time they brought out an order with nothing but silence in return. They then came at 9:15 to warn us about last call. Fair enough. By 9:20 we were getting pressured to pay and leave. I've never had someone rush me out a restaurant 40 minutes before closing. The male server interrupted us while we still had food on plates to tell us that it's time to pay our bills. Customer service should be the focal point of every restaurant and when the bills came, we notice that there was a autogratuity added on our for a group of six. That would've been fine if they had let us know ahead of time. As someone that works in a restaurant, I often tip 20 percent or more each and every time even if they do the bare minimum. The only reason you got a tip today was the autogratuity. Plain and simple. There's no way you'll ever see another dollar from me again until you learn how to respect your customers.
Food 1/5 Edible but just barely. The teriyaki beef was barely warm, the sushi was okay, the sashimi was alright. Everything tasted kind of old.
Atmosphere 1/5 Table maintenance was brutal. I shouldn't have to ask over and over to take away empty dishes. Also why were there 2 kids playing on computers in the middle of the dining room? Not on laptops, full on desktop computers. That's wild to me.
Service 0/5 It takes a lot to get a zero tip and have someone write a full review of how poorly you performed as a FOH team. The male server was extremely rude and needs an attitude adjustment. Having spent almost 400 dollars as a group, I expect to be treated with a...
Read moreFirst time trying out fusion entirely, and there are great things that certainly stand out and a little bit of disappointment.
All You Can Eat Sushi style with a mix of other cultures in one. Huge variety of sushi and Japanese dishes to choose from in the menu. It is very similar to One Sushi or Oishi management style with the order tablets. Atmosphere demonstrates Japanese culture clearly.
Wait time for your food is astonishingly fast, but the service can be way BETTER. When the servers reach your table, it feels like they're such in a hurry that they just toss your food in the table with no care. It's not too big of a deal since I came here to eat anyway. Until I was paying for my food in which I had a conversation with the staff and the way she talks sounds abrupt and mad.
On the food side of things. Definitely some of the best dishes I've tasted. Their chicken kara-age is worth eating over and over again here since it's a little soft and chewy than other restaurants. Crispy is nice too but it doesn't compliment the tenderness of the chicken as much as these guys do. Mackerel Saba is one of my go-to orders along with some Sashimi, takoyaki, etc.
Parking will be rough here since this is located in downtown. You would be lucky if you got to park in front of the restaurant. Seating can be tough, but when we got there in rush hour, it wasn't that bad. I would still recommend calling ahead of time to ensure your spot just in case, if applicable.
Overall, it's an amazing restaurant to try and enjoy over time from a wide range of dishes to enjoy but lacks the hospitality of a...
