Great Taste Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Calgary

We’re weekly regulars to this place and most servers know our orders without even asking. Today Dec 25th was the last time we will be visiting here. Although we understand that it’s Christmas and the restaurant was super busy, all we expected was honesty. The kitchen looked so unorganized and seemed that they just kept taking any plate possible and dropping them to any table. It also looked like they would rather prioritize delivery orders than the seated customers. The server kept passing by us and definitely saw that there was no food at our table. She passed by us at least 30 times and Im not even exaggerating and not once she asked us If we have gotten our food. We only got the soup dumplings at first but then 5 tables came after us and they had gotten their food, 2 tables out of the 5 finished while we were still waiting. We had to flag the server, we asked her nicely if she knew when our food will be ready and she said “ it’s coming” in total we waited 1 hour and a half and still nothing. One table of five sat after we asked the server what’s going on with our order and within 10 mins they had already gotten their food so we got up and went to the server and told her 6 tables total were served before us even though we’ve been here for more than an hour and 30 mins. She brushed us off and said “ that’s what happens when the kitchen is busy” I told her how come 6 tables that arrived after us got their food then? She completely was nonchalant about it and this is not the first time she messes up our orders. Instead of telling us “hey we forgot” or “ your order was given to other people” all she had was “ kitchen was busy. I mean if it was busy, all the other tables would’ve not received food either? Keep in mind we visit this place about 1-2 times a week and our regular server was busy helping the kitchen or else I know we would’ve never waited that long. Once we told her that we would pay for the dumplings, absolutely no reaction, didn’t even bother saying “let me check and see if it’s out right now for you guys” nothing at all. They definitely lost good regulars we tip very well, we’re very respectful and understanding (our regular server can vouch for us and even sits us at the same table every time) and Im very disappointed because it’s one of my favourite restaurants in all Calgary. We had really really bad experience with the restaurant since the order was delayed about 1 hour to be delivered. When we called the restaurant to check what estimated time we can receive my order, the servant told she is very busy to serve other people, and she also doesn't know how long we need to wait? The servant said they don't handle the delivery time and they don't know everything. And, we asked the servant if the order is ready to be delivered, and the servant said she doesn't know anything, and she is very busy. She said she doesn't want to speak with us anymore. The order accepted by the restaurant, if the restaurant needs to delay the order, we're fine with it, but the restaurant needs to let us know estimating time to be delayed. The order confirmation said the service time was 11:45 AM, and now is 12:40 PM. We are still waiting for the order, and still don't know where the order is now!!!

The delivery company named as NOMME for the above order is really great. Finally, we received the order at 12:50 PM. When we placed the order one day in advance, we specially wrote down instruction for the restaurant saying that Hot & Sour Soup takes away all meat and/or seafood from the soup because we have a vegetarian in the office. However, the restaurant ignores the special notes for the order, the restaurant still puts meat and shrimp inside...

If they have 0 I will do it ;( so disappointed about the food here salt and small place . Almost a year I not been here I think let try one more time. But this the FINALE NO COME AGAIN! The pictures on menu so big that ok when your place order is come too small no big deal that the way business, but you spen for one dish over 18.99 and used chopsticks 3 time is done;( how can you enjoy. Today I spent 140$ and no full “ oh full with disappointing) go home my family got diarrhea . Went washroom 2 times for me.my mom 4 times and vomiting. My husband 1 time. I really really want go hospital get a paper work for Impecter check from food or clean not quality why my family got in trouble. Now 3 am I’m feeling not well . I hope someone tell me how to report this problems. THIS IS THE WOST RESTAURANT I EVER HAVE DIARRHEA. We eat out 4-6 times a week before we love to eat. The great teast have two place one in downtown and 64 ave NW that place ok not too bad service worst wait times for food and water you have to call them. I don’t want said bad to business .
