I was disappointed the moment I waked in, I knew I should have walked out. The man working tonight Sunday March 1st 2020 was rude right from the beginning. I walked through the doors and he did a sigh of “wow can I just go home another customer omg”. I LOVE MUCHO BURRITO, but this experience I had tonight I have to say ruined it for me. I always used to go to the country hills location because I used to live up there and I always LOVED going into that Mucho Burrito. The people were always so mice and welcoming the vibe was amazing. Unfortunately not at this location, I understand people have bad days I gave the man many opportunities to tune up his attitude towards me, I was polite and used my manners of course. When I was asking him questions he couldn’t be more disinterested in my questions about the food. Honestly what they had layers out looked different from what I’m used to. I found out not until I came home that either my rice was not cooked or it was sitting out All day. My first few bites I felt like my teeth were going to break that’s how hard the rice was. UNBELIEVABLE. I’m so upset about this experience because I was starving and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat for when I got home. Even more upset that I had to order food to get delivered which now I’m very hangry. I spent good money at this location only to throw it away. I’m absolutely...
Read moreSome of the staff are really nice. I stop in for burrito happy hour a few times a week for late lunch on the way home from work, which is advertised on a sandwich board sign out front of the door for 7.99, and if I order the burrito and pop (happy hour) the staff constantly try to charge me full price 11 or 12 approx, until I remind them, I don’t think this is a very upstanding practice. Also whenever I am served by the man I am charged up to an extra dollar for “toppings” that should be included. I don’t want to argue so I never say anything to him.
A few other tips for this restaurant: Turn the lights on.... nobody wants to come into a business that looks depressing and half closed. Hire an electrician to come fix your lighting/wiring under the front counter. There is dangerous exposed wires out for anyone to touch. Be consistent with your prices and voluntarily honour your lunch promos such as happy hour. There is positive and helpful ways to increase sales by suggestive upselling drinks or desserts. It will be better for your image and the whole business in the long run, nobody likes to feel like they’re being taken advantage of if they’re not paying...
Read moreThis Mucho is consistently slow and underwhelming.
I went here often but the quality and service has just fallen too low. I go to the West Hills Mucho now which is too bad as this one is more convenient.
Complaints? You have to constantly request the staff to add toppings which aren't even optional. They just try to put the least amount of items on your burrito as possible. I feel like I have to negotiate with them to get both medium salsa and salsa fresca when they're both included and always get a big sigh for my trouble.
Slow and surly service such that if there were more than 2 people in line I'd turn around because you know you're there for 10+ minutes waiting.
Quality control is low. Burritos are often way too liquid-y because they don't strain the beans/veggies appropriately. Often barely grill them (ostensibly to speed things up - I asked once)
Generally poor service - ordering a kids quesadilla once and they denied ANY toppings on it (only cheese allowed she said) when the literal picture of it on the board shows beans and veggies. Reduced a child to tears by repeatedly telling her no toppings.
I like Mucho Burrito but will not return to this location....
