I had a great time at Prestopie Pizzeria! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some really good food. I tried the calzone and the all-meat classic pie—both were absolutely delicious; baked with a fire oven. The calzone was perfectly baked with a rich, flavorful filling, and the all-meat pizza was loaded and satisfying without being overwhelming. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to any pizza lover in Calgary. I’ll be back for more!

Updates 3 days after initial post: Disappointed with Poorly Sealed Calzone

I was really looking forward to enjoying my calzone from Prestopie, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The calzone I received via Uber Eats was not properly sealed before baking — the side flap was left open, and as a result, most of the filling spilled out.

It was frustrating trying to eat it, as the toppings kept falling out, completely defeating the purpose of ordering a calzone. This really affected the quality and enjoyment of the meal. See photos: this ruin my initial 5 star review as it was frustrating eating this deliver ordered food. Compare this closing to the original I ordered at the pizza place. I am disappointed

My sister recommended this place. I figured it would be places like Blase and the like. But I was wrong, I found out that this place is locally owned and operated and NOT a franchise. So that was a pleasant surprise. I ordered and created my own pizza with spicy red sauce, salami, mozzarella, Asiago cheese, and a bunch of other fixings, which had no limit, (I mean there might be, but the employee suggested more).

I also paid for the thick crust to try it, the standard one is a thin crust, which was also great. The crust was amazing, fluffy but also still a bit crispy. It was artisan pizza and it was beautifully crafted. The employees were very patient with everyone they served and still friendly, even though it started picking up after we sat down.

They even served the pizza as we waited until it was done after in the oven. Service was great and hope that continues.

I'd recommend this place as a better option than franchise pizza, and a better alternative, to pies at the moment. I wish there was another location but I'll make the trip here, because it's worth it.
