Food were not bad, but never go back. The service made me somewhat nervous and feel offended. First, when we ordered a bottle of cold sake, the sever said just there was no cold sake without checking. But other women from back (seemed like the owner) told us there was. Second, we ordered two lunch specials, but when we oredered beef don and chicken don, again the sever told us we should pay extra if we order two dons. But every lunch special can have each don. Why couldn't we? I asked twice, the answer was same. The last, before we had done, same server put away the dishes (she asked whether we done but, before yes, her hands reached our plates). This was the second service that I really did not want to pay tip for in Calgary, however I did tip 15 % as another server seemed nice. But I will never go back.

We get their sushi for take out from time to time and the quality of this place has stayed pretty consistent until this occasion. The seafood they use (we have ordered rolls and nigiri before using salmon, tuna, scallop) was fresh and tasty. The rolls aren't packed with a thick layer of rice and overall, generally have a good balance of ingredients and flavors. In the pictures are the red eye roll, soft shell crab roll, and Nami roll. This time, the green dragon roll we got used rotten unagi which should not have been served. It tasted like rotten meat, ruining our appetite. There was a funny smell to it too. This is going to be a place I will avoid for a while as there are plenty of other options where we have not been given rotten tasting sushi.

To tell the truth, the food didn't make us happy. There is no overflowing happiness from Japanese cuisine today( although I am not a picky person). But I ask you to agree that the nori leaves are short, not glued ... the rice is not sticky, it is crumbled ... Honestly, im disappointed. Such not neat sushi, looks like somebody very young was allowed to help the cook))). Today I wanted it to be pleasant for the eyes and a stomach. Unfortunately,no...For the first time, our family ate only half of the set))). I put three stars for the promptness of collecting the order, for the freshness of the products and for efforts. Hope it was just not a good day.

I had a lunch here couple weeks ago with my hubby and this place serves quite nice quality sushi rolls in affordable price. Most of sushi rolls are $9.95 which is very amazing especially if you think about this place is located in just off 17th Ave. Although this place is not as fancy as other sushi restaurants, still nice, clean and comfy to enjoy. Rolls were plated nicely and they were very tasty and server was friendly. We mostly ordered rolls so hard to compare other dishes, but if you are sushi roll lovers, definitely try this place! I highly recommend you to try Calgary Flames, torch fired salmon with Katsuobushi flakes on top is just a bomb!!

It was our first time here and we came for my birthday dinner with my family. We have a one year old. The service was so quick and the food was delicious. They make fantastic rolls that aren’t full of rice. I love all the rolls we tried. We were pretty hungry and didn’t capture all our food. However, it’s an excellent spot especially with kids. It’s difficult for us to hang out more than an hour with a one year old before they get bored. 😁 We will be coming back or placing takeouts for sure. Excellent sushi place.

One of my favorite sushi places in Calgary. You won't be impressed by the outside or the inside decor when you walk in but some of the best sushi in town. Really friendly staff as well. Their teriyaki hot plates are popular and delicious. You will smell them when a table orders them. From sushi I recommend ordering from the "special rolls" you pay a bit more but u get more fish and bigger better rolls. My hands down favourite is the Calgary flames roll (without Tobiko).
