I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the exemplary management skills of Robyn, the manager at National 10th in Calgary. From the moment I stepped into the establishment, it was evident that Robyn's leadership played a pivotal role in creating an atmosphere of warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
First and foremost, Robyn demonstrated a remarkable ability to foster a positive work environment. Her approachable demeanor and genuine interest in both customers and staff members alike were truly commendable. She effortlessly balanced the responsibilities of overseeing operations while ensuring that everyone felt valued and supported.
One aspect of Robyn's management style that particularly stood out was her exceptional organizational skills. Despite the bustling nature of the establishment, everything seemed to run seamlessly under her guidance. From coordinating schedules to managing inventory, Robyn tackled each task with precision and effectiveness, ensuring that both customers and employees experienced a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Furthermore, Robyn exhibited strong communication skills, which played a crucial role in maintaining cohesion within the team. She actively listened to concerns, provided constructive feedback, and fostered open dialogue, creating a culture of transparency and collaboration. Her ability to communicate expectations clearly undoubtedly contributed to the high level of efficiency and teamwork observed throughout the establishment.
In addition to her managerial prowess, Robyn also demonstrated a genuine passion for customer satisfaction. She went above and beyond to ensure that each patron received personalized attention and that any issues were promptly addressed. Her dedication to providing exceptional service undoubtedly contributed to the positive reputation of National 10th in the local community.
Overall, my experience under Robyn's management at National 10th was nothing short of exceptional.    Read moreIâve been going to national for years but after an extremely negative experience last night, I donât think I will be going back. On Saturday, April 29, we booked a guest list at Bourbon Room to celebrate a birthday. At one point we went downstairs to go to the bathroom. When we came back out there was a lineup and we were told we needed a stamp to get back up to bourbon room, however when we had come down there was no one to give us stamps. So we explained the situation to some of the staff who were letting people back up, and some of our group did have stamps because they came down a bit later so there was obviously a timing issue with stamps. This shouldnât have been a problem because if there werenât people giving out stamps all night, then clearly there would be some gap of people without stamps. The staff were questioning us so we showed the confirmation of our guest list to prove that we were there, and half of us did have stamps so it should have been clear that we were already upstairs. We were still denied going back upstairs and one of the female, red haired staff members was being extremely rude and disrespectful. Throughout the interaction, we were calm and respectful and were just trying to explain the situation so we could continue our birthday celebrations. However, after being talked to so rudely, we felt we had no choice but to leave (with part of our group STILL upstairs).
Itâs absolutely ridiculous that we couldnât go to the bathroom without being denied reentry, and ESPECIALLY when we already had guest list for a birthday celebration. Itâs so unfortunate that this took away from what was supposed to be a fun night of celebrating. I have never experienced such poor treatment by staff at any establishment and itâs frankly inexcusable. This could have completely been avoided and national and the staff could have managed the situation much differently. I hope in the future others donât get denied reentry for going to the BATHROOM and the staff learn to manage the situation and treat...
Read moreThis incident happened at around 12am on a Saturday night (sept 13 - sept 14). I drive a cab with associated cabs (part time) and was standing outside waiting for passengers patiently and I really had to use the washroom and I asked the bouncer if I could use the washroom and he told me absolutely not in a very rude way and upon insisting(as I really had to go and had no time to go to a convenience store) he got really mad. I just told him once that you guys should let the taxi drivers use the bathroom and here is what happened after I told him:-
The bouncer was extremely aggressive and unprofessional. He swore at me, cursed at me, banged on the window, shouted at me and even made obscene gestures like showing me the middle finger. He was shouting at me and trying to prove that I shouldnât have said him that. He was using his authority to imply that I donât belong here. What made this worse was that he openly implied the place was âonly for white people,â which is unacceptable and discriminatory.
No guest should ever be treated this way, regardless of who they are. Especially the people that serve the people in the city of Calgary and give them rides, 24/7 transportation service for people who are handicapped. Even to those people who are drunk that come out of national on Saturday nights we cooperate with them and give them rides. I left feeling unsafe, disrespected, and shocked that such behavior is tolerated at an establishment that serves the public. I called the Calgary police and they went and talked to the bouncer and never came back to me!!!! I waited for them in my car as they told me and I waited and waited!!!! I waited for a long time and even said no to some passengers. I am still shocked how this is tolerated at a place like this.
So does this mean anyone who is Indian trying to use the washroom will be shown a middle finger and sworn upon and shouted at. So just for me asking to them to use the washroom he...
