Sushi Shop — Restaurant in Calgary

The management reached out to offer their apologies and a provided a $30 gift certificate. I used this to try some additional Sushi and a Poke-bowl.

The Pokebowl was the mango chicken with white rice. This was delicious and very filling. I would almost recommend they rename the place Poke-Shop as I haven't had a rice bowl this full of flavour in quite awhile.

The sushi however was again subpar. It's impossible to justify the prices they are charging for such gas station quality sushi. I'm not sure what kind of seaweed they are using to wrap the sushi but it's so touch to bite into almost making the seaweed itself inedible. I have been eating sushi for decades and haven't ever had something like that before.

Pretty subpar experience twice. The ramen noodles tasted like instant noodles and the eggs were cold and near frozen.

The avocado sushi was mushy and wrapped in seaweed that was tough as steak.

Dynamite roll was alright but pricewise it was higher then higher end sushi places.

Wouldn't recommend unless you need sushi and are in the vicinity with no other options. Expect higher quality sushi prices for...

I have to say the customer service was fabulous!! My first time visiting and I will be back. My son had ordered a bubble tea with his sushi, he took 2 sips and managed to knock the whole thing onto the floor making such a mess. Bubble Tea everywhere, he tried to clean up it himself but was making more of a mess. The staff, said not to worry we will clean it up but they were so busy, I felt so bad that there was such a mess everywhere. During the time of us finishing up our meal, they brought over a fresh new bubble tea for my son. The staff said "accidents happens" and "not to worry, we will clean up the mess". I thought that was so kind and never thought they would replace the drink for us. I've never had such good customer service before in a fast casual restaurant. The food was delicious too!! WE will be back to visit but this time with out...

Awful experience. Placed an online order, waited the 30 minutes until the pick up time. Arrived at the store to be told their online ordering directly through their website is closed. Staff told me to call the number to complain. I called and it was the restaurant number. She told me she didn’t know what to do and couldn’t make my order because she didn’t have a confirmation number from skip the dishes. I explained it was direct through the website. She called someone else and they located the order. She then told me should could only make the order with brown rice, which is not what I ordered. I asked for a refund. She said she couldn’t do it, but she would call a manger. I am now out $20 with no lunch, waiting nearly an hour and have no way to contact anyone. This is a terrible business with awful support...
