Purdys Chocolatier — Restaurant in Calgary

I have been coming to this location for well over 10 years and had a terrible experience the last time I visited. The employees were standing around with their backs facing away from me and gossiping. When they did notice me (after I had to loudly state my presents) they hesitated to help me and looked at each other to see who'd serve me. The female who did serve me asked me "what do you want" in a rude tone. When I placed my order she sighed and started to fill a paper bag with Chocolates and without using gloves. I asked her to use gloves or tongs while handling the chocolates she than proceeded to stopped and offered to help the next lady in line behind me without completing my order. They were disorganized, unprofessional, unsanitary and not worth it in the end. I left feeling like my service wasn't important or that they don't care about the quality in customer service and I will not return to this location. Very...

I just bought a kids’ size ice cream for my daughter, and I got a one-spoon size for myself. The guy who served me gave such a tiny portion, almost completely flat on top. I asked him, “Is the size really this small?” He answered, “There’s ice cream inside the cone too!”

Then after I paid, I realized he hadn’t given me the topping. I asked politely if he could give me one flavor for the top. To my surprise, he responded impatiently, “Next time, please tell me when you order.” I said, “But you didn’t even ask me—at other stores the staff always ask what topping I’d like.”
