Second Cup Café — Restaurant in Calgary

I genuinely like Second Cup but today was the exception. First off I couldn't log into my Second Cup App. When I questioned staff they seemed to think it was my fault but apparently their website must be down because I have tried with WiFi and 4G. My husband tried on his phone as well. We tried to log in both at the mall using Second Cups own WiFi, the malls WiFi and our home network as well. Couldn't get logged on to the app. So that means no points added to my points balance. Also means I couldn't use my app to pay for my drinks. Then I purchased a smoothy. The kid was having trouble with it. He made it once, put it back in the blender because it was too runny. Added more ice, blended it again but for such a short time my drink was full of ice cubes. They didn't have enough decaffeinated coffee to fill one cup so it was either wait for them to brew another pot or top it up with regular. We topped it up but in hindsight we should have waited for fresh because it took 10:00 long minutes for my smoothy to be made. Looks like management needs to spend a little more time training. I don't come to Second Cup often but the service I had here makes me want to come back. A young lady said my hands looked cold and before I could comment she grabbed them to warm them up with hers, which was bold but extremely kind. The drink (honestly I forgot, may have been just a coffee) was very good. I suppose I should mention there was another girl working there who served me first who took my order and told me she forgot to make it I assumed it was because her friends showed up. I had my very first experience with them last Thursday morning. I just had eye surgery so I couldn't read the board. I explained my favorite drink I like was the cinnamon dolce latte over at Starbucks and what would she recommend. She said they had a drink similar to that and explained to me what was in it and so forth. I kid you not, this was THE BEST coffee I have ever had!!! Hands down 10 times better than Starbucks.
